My little brother just called me sobbing because our parents won’t them him get another cat.
For context the cat they have is very independent and doesn’t cuddle unless you’re laying down and stay completely still. Apparently since they got her every time he tries to pet her she walks away from him which then makes him cry. he’s 16 he’s really sweet and loves animals so to have his favourite animal walk away from him all the time is hard for him.
Anyway. Apparently if it wasn’t for him they wouldn’t have gotten a cat in the first place and because of that they don’t want another one.
So obviously being the great big brother I am, I took him out so he can sob in peace in the passenger seat of my car. We got Wendy’s and now we’re standing in a dollar store as he sobs towards all the cat items
I feel so bad but I don’t have the time for a cat with school and my job and not only that he doesn’t live with me 🥺 so I’m going to ask our dad who’s house he as access to whenever he wants, if he can get a cat if I pay for it.
Our dad did just get a new puppy and I don’t mean a small puppy I mean a 6 month old golden retriever. So I don’t think having a kitten would be best for him. HOWEVER my brother, as I’m typing this, (I got his permission dw) has agreed that it might be good to bring the cat tree and litter box down to his room, not only that but start feeding her. This way he has more time with her to get to know her and visa versa
Another little rant from me. If someone wants to fund this new cat I will gladly except e transfers
