hi, great question! just to clarify, the celebrity rating system is a scale of how positive to negative a celebrity is viewed in their respective fields, rather than a measure of their popularity! popularity is not a metric that is considered by the celebrity rating, otherwise everyone in terra would theoretically have a rating! for instance, an iron fist gamer with a high celebrity rating would be more well-received in the gaming community, but they might not be more famous than, say, a singer / actor from the rising star subplot that has achieved a low rating due to being embroiled in scandals. the popularity of a celebrity wholly depends on the size of their respective communities — so if, for instance, the celebrity is a singer making pop music catered for the general public, then they would naturally be more famous than something like an iron fist gamer who's really only known to iron fist enthusiasts! their celebrity rating, being a measure of likeability, would have very little to do with this! we hope this makes sense, but please let us know if you have any follow-up questions! ♥︎

hi! i was wondering about trends/fashion in terra considering it's a futuristic setting. are there specific elements or styles that are popular, or do you guys imagine avatars dress normal?

hi, thank you for your question! considering that all the virtual landscapes are big on maintaining a version of earth that is similar to real life, it is likely that its users would share the same sentiment! that said, we imagine that most avatars would be dressed pretty normally, though no one would bat an eye at the occasional coloured iris, colour-changing hair dye, or glowing tattoo! purchasing aesthetic mods from re:skin or the like can also be costly the more complicated the project, so you can imagine that you'd see more unconventional aesthetic choices from the rich and famous ( kind of like people of the capitol in the hunger games )!

hi, i have a few questions abt the physicality of terra. can you guys expand a bit on transportation? i'm curious speficially about porting, if people can only teleport through the stations in the big cities, then how does travel work within these cities? can users just fly or zap between shorter distances, or do they use cars and trains and stuff? also, i'm wondering if cities are exactly laid out like physical earth or if they're more like servers or websites, as in no real physical distance between them but just hubs you can connect to. also, i understand that terrascape only operates in asia, but does that mean users can only visit virtual recreations of asia in terra, or can they also visit recreations of places in other continents? so sorry for the long ask

hi, thanks for asking and please don't apologise! we love answering these types of questions! part of the allure of terra and the other virtual landscapes was to create the utopic version of earth as they had known it. with this promise, the cities are laid out almost entirely like physical earth, with real distances that you would have to travel across! that said, the establishment of port stations in major cities across each country's equivalent on terra makes long distance travel, both between cities and countries, instant, free, and convenient! when it comes to travelling within these cities itself, users may certainly purchase hover vehicles to travel around which is an efficient alternative to the vehicles we have today, considering that the use of these vehicles allow for multiple layers of traffic off the ground as opposed to the conventional 'one vehicle per lane' system. these vehicles can also be transported across cities and countries along with the user as there is a slot to store them in the user's panel, and they can be summoned or recalled as the user wishes! of course, physical distance isn't actually real, but the illusion of it has been coded into the system to mimic life on earth as closely as possible. this is why concepts like evermall and megabuildings — specifically, infinite buildings that exist in a defined space — exist. if users aren't particularly fond of the concept of physical distance and would like to teleport to destinations within cities, they would certainly be able to purchase mods for this! do bear in mind, though, that lifestyle mods tend to be on the pricier end, hence why many users tend to opt for the more affordable hover vehicles! aside from the expensive porting mod and mid-ranged hover vehicles, public transportation in the form of buses and trains also definitely exist and are entirely free to use! given the forms of transportation available to terra's users, travel within the continent of asia is made easy! users may also travel across continents if they would like, but this process is a little trickier. this is because other continents / servers are hosted by their own respective technological companies, which naturally, would operate on a different system. as we've detailed in our glossary and in a previous ask, interserver travel can be expensive due to the complexity of the process, but cost aside, it's easily achievable! users can travel between servers via the same port stations established across major cities. we hope this was informative, but do let us know if there was a point we missed or could cover better! ♥︎

hey there! we can safely say that terra is up, running, and active ♥ a shout out to our lovely members for contributing over here and writing! we acknowledge that it's a busy season for some now, but even accounting for that, we've found that activity is at a good pace for both admins in terms of balancing activity and irl priorities. as we've just opened, we naturally expect that members would still be busy plotting and trying to get threads going, but even then we usually see at least 1 thread a day ( there's been 3 in the past 24h, and 3 in the 24h before that )! there's also usually always someone online to talk to and plot with. driving activity is certainly a team effort, so if you'd like to give it a try, we'd love to have you here with us!

hello, thank you for the well wishes and for the question! we can certainly provide more information on the show format of romance roulette, the popular dating show that our skeletons, rs5 / rise and rs6 / fall are part of! we've placed information on the show's format under the cut, but to answer your second question, you may definitely play as other contestants outside of the 2 designated skeletons involved in the show! do bear in mind, though, that playable characters with active celebrity rankings are limited to skeletons from our rising star and iron fist subplots. this means if you choose to bring in a muse that was previously a contestant in romance roulette, they would need to have retired from any celebrity life at the time of joining our directory. why they might have decided to do this is entirely up to you!

romance roulette is similar to the popular dating show, single's inferno, but with a twist! a number of contestants are introduced to the show in the inferno ( beach ) setting and are allowed to mingle with other contestants for a certain duration. during this time, a live audience watches their interactions and votes for which contestant couples they'd like to see more! the producers will then tally up the live audience votes and set up private dates around inferno for each contestant's top 5 voted matches, which will be broadcasted for the audience to view. from here, the audience will narrow down each contestant's top 3 matches, and contestants will be granted 1 night in the paradise ( hotel ) setting with each of their top matches. from here, the contestants will be granted more autonomy to decide which two they'd like to take to paradise again, then finally, they'll be asked to make a decision to choose the final, perfect match that they'd like to leave inferno with! we hope this makes sense, but please let us know if you have any follow up questions! our inbox / dms are always open!
