imagining a hermit learning / getting comfortable w regression on Hermitcraft. okay gonna use solar waltz Grian here . As example hear me out.

So he’s getting more comfy w his regression! And what’s a builder to do? Make himself a safe corner of course !! So Grian makes all these plans. Designs himself an entire room or small base for him to be small in.

He starts working on it and doesn’t get very far before he regresses. Imagine someone coming to check up on him. Mumbo asks how’s the new project going? and comes in to an empty room and grian’s lost in a trance over toys he brought in to decorate with. Bonus points it’s like not even proper toys. He’s playing with a kid core patterned curtain.

part of tango’s blazeborn ness is that he gets super lethargic and a little ill whenever the weather is rainy or cold. w that said anytime the weather dips or sudden rain comes, tango’s super prone to slipping. his fav caregivers like impulse or skizz or pearl know to carry round an umbrella . just in case ! usually his caregivers end up practically dragging or carrying him home, give him earplugs to drown out the rain sounds, and snuggle up w him next to the campfire until the storm passes

obsessed w the trope of knowing someone’s slipping but pretending not to notice.

gonna write a Grian doc age re fic one day i promise. but im imagining doc picking a fight w Grian. Playfully, of course! But doc hadn’t known at first that he was slipping into his little space. But he makes a tease at him and notices his reactions funny, he takes him more seriously almost and scrunches his face up like a bunny. and then doc decides to just. mess w him more bc yeah he’s onto him, but he’s not gonna let Grian have it easy.

bonus points if grian’s also chewing him out back. someone lets doc know how much of a sucker little grian is for affection. Grian’s in the middle of a retort to doc when doc suddenly starts ruffling his hair or he literally just wraps an arm over him and brings him close. And Grian just melts. (Even funnier if Grian finishes chewing him out like nothing happened, as if he isn’t aware that he’s melting into a puddle against doc)

hermitcraft is just full of many diff type of littles. some of them dont want anyone around when they're regressed. this is bdubs to me. personally. in my head i think it's so funny. like maybe he's ok w having a caregiver around but bdubs just. "takes care" of himself for the most part. a caregiver etho is like oh! it's time for bed. and little bdubs is already in his night gown snoozing away. honk shoo and everything.

(tho i would think it's cute if bdubs is pretty. self sufficient but he goofs sometimes. etho catches him trying to sleep in workman's clothes or his boots.)

some hermits regressed don't ever like to be alone. this is so mumbo to me. i usually write him as a caregiver but imagining a little mumbo regressing and awkwardly toddlin around until he finds someone or a caregiver.

some hermits only want specific people around when they're regressed. like zedaph. he's got one specific caregiver, maybe 2 if impulse is on his best behavior.

just... little hermits who regress in different ways but are all so valid <3

the hermits say scar safe or Grian safe . but no one is safe from cg skizzleman and his nicknames. no one. one little “sunspot” grian’s gone. “Gemstone” gem’s in the stratosphere.

i thrifted a broken music box and I’m so excited to put all my age re stuff in it …

annoying my solar waltz readers by never having one central relationship. Every 2-3 chapters I introduce new caregiver. u know why? For plot reasons? No. Self indulgence . (Maybe a little plot reasons)

want Cleo and Grian age re fics so bad … yes secret life would be perfect opportunity as we had meetup of the century but … (*does not like to write in life series*)

idk imagining Cleo using armor stand magic to entertain the littles … think it’d be so funny w a cg scar hanging out w a little Grian and Cleo runs into them out and about and decides to show them something they’ve been working on! Scar is so entranced w the display he slips and Cleo acts disgruntled about taking them both home but is secretly excited. they crack a joke about putting them to work and gives them armor stands to *work* with. they’re just playing while Cleo watches / fiddles w her own work.

While not formally a carer, Scar is sort of known for the way the regressors flock to him to hang out. He’s just so much fun to play with, or to just listen to talk, and he encourages their rambles, too.

this is so crackfic i think but. imagine one of the hermits. wanting to do a shop for the littles like fidget toys and other little knit knacks. a cg hermit pitches this idea and someone points out. they need a permit for that. cue a distressed cg (most likely skizzleman. for fun) trying to get a permit from grian. he complains about it to the others, and a little gem is the clever one to point out u have to speak his language (bribe him w the product). (the imagery of grian ditching. the hermit permit uniform so quickly to don a little outfit, snatch the toys skizz brought, and closes the shop.) (yes im aware this is incredibly silly)
