It's a bit hard to tell when he's sad. He doesn't like to cry (and, depending on the verse, physically can't), so the only way to tell is that he'll frown and get real quiet, hauntingly so.

In the Android verse Shads likely doesn't know what a religion is, and probably wouldn't care. In the Goth Prince verse he practices dark magic but I hesitate to call that actual witchcraft since it's... Not. It's more like a exaggerated version of it and even that's pushing it.

Surprisingly enough, he likes sweets over all else. He especially likes it when said sweets are aesthetically pleasing to look at as well.

Meanwhile Android Shads doesn't really understand what being in love is like, and would probably think he caught a virus or smth.

Android Shads eyes & stripes can glow when he wants them to, AND they can glow different colors depending on his mood. They glow light yellow when he's happy.

Prince lives in the castle in gothic gardens, meanwhile Android travels from cave to cave.

Neither of them really have to WORK, but for severely different reasons. Prince doesn't work because he a spoiled rich bitchboy, and Android doesn't work because he just simply Doesn't Want to participate in society, and since he can replenish his battery with the power crystals that always seems to be inside of the caves he's lived in, he doesn't have to worry about dying.
Technically speaking, though, Android's original job WAS to protect Lyric's prison, and uh... Look at how well that turned out.

It was like someone had duct taped goggles with blurry lenses over his eyes, being unable to focus on anything he was seeing in front of him. He could feel every step he took, could feel the undergrowth and greenery brush against his skin, but did not have the control to avoid them. Shadow was nothing more than a mindless pawn now.
