As with the horse poll, please regard these options as sliders. The extent to which each one deviates from 1/6th of the total will determine the amount that canine aspect deviates from the "average."
cant stop thinking abt ursula k. le guin’s essay abt the carrier bag theory….. she’s like, maybe the first human tool was not a weapon, but rather something that holds, a bag, a pouch, a vessel, something for gathering and storing and sharing. let’s shift the narrative of humanity from that of violence to that of safekeeping. and i’m like
i wish i could say this more eloquently but watching these college solidarity encampments popping up around the world… watching university faculty use themselves as shields to protect their students from the police… watching these students put their own safety on the line to demand divestments… i’ve never seen anything like it, and every update moves me to tears.
i need everyone to understand i have never watched the owl house, i just know of it through osmosis. i tried to watch it then nope out when i realized part of my bird’s long ass name is owlbert (full name: wayu owlbert spock watermelon starburst) and i could only see edas staff as the creature that runs around stealing my stuff from me to play with and eats trash off the floor when im not looking
The beautiful thing as you get older is that you realize so many “rules” are made up and you can just do whatever. Posters can go anywhere in the house not just my room. I can sit down while cooking a meal or taking a shower. I can make the same thing for breakfast lunch dinner for a week straight. I can roam around the house shirtless. I can wear a dress with jeans. The world is my oyster key word my and I can live as I please embracing little things such as this
I live in a weird bubble of the south. It's deep south, middle of the bible belt but. It's a pretty northern (gentrified) pocket of it; my town is?
We have northern accents. You need to go to a few specific neighborhoods or the outskirts to see any southern architecture, etc. And it's. So weird to see how a lot of people separate themselves from 'redneck and hillbillies', Etc. and it's like. We get a lot of northerners who move down here to start families bc it’s a fairly wealthy liberal town and we have money in our schools. My parents were some of them.
And everyone here seems to think of themself as so DIFFERENT from people not two towns over. Sure; we're southern- but god forbid we be southern.
