Valentine’s Day Games for 2022
Tumblr media
Here are some ideas I received from Valentine's Day games in the school. Each may be altered in a variety of ways.
HEART PUZZLES GAME
Paper hearts of various colors and sizes were cut out. Each heart should be cut into four pieces and strewn throughout the arena. You might conceal them on barriers for children to reach, place them on the ground for children to woah exactly and seek for assistance, or do anything you wish. Then let the youngsters go on a treasure hunt for the pieces. When you've collected all of the parts, have each child put theirs together and count how many entire hearts of the same hue they've collected. The one who has the most complete hearts is the winner.
Modifications:
Write instructions on the hearts for the kid to do when they finds the heart, such as  “two point one wall” or “trot from A to C”, depending on what your students are working on and their capabilities.
Give each color of heart a certain number of points, so the kid with the most points wins. You can verbally tell them the points for each color at the beginning or end of the game, or write the points on the heart pieces and have them count.
Instead of small hearts make one big huge heart so all the students must work together to complete it, and everyone wins. Complete the puzzle on a block or barrel in the arena, or on the ground.
HEARTS GAME
Depending on what your pupils are working on and their ability, cut out a number of hearts and write riding directions on them, such as "two point one wall" or "trot from A to C." Allow the rider to choose a heart (from a bucket, a barrel, or someplace else in the arena), then follow the instructions, and finally deliver the heart (to you, the other bucket, another barrel, etc.).
Modifications:
Put the hearts face down in rows on a block in the middle of the arena. To get their task the student must describe the heart they want, for example, “the blue heart in the third row”.
HEART SCAVENGER HUNT 1
Make a variety of different hearts. The objective is to collect as many hearts as possible.
Modifications:
On each heart, write a job for the child to do. These can be projects they're working on (2 point one long wall), Valentine's Day themes (words at K and love your horse), or just plain silly things (deliver this heart to your classmate).
HEART SCAVENGER HUNT 2
Make a variety of different hearts. Following a scavenger hunt trail is the aim. They are given a heart to begin with, coupled with instructions on where to look for the next heart and a riding skill. Each heart pushes them forward to the next. For example, the first heart reads "two point over the poles to K," and at K, they discover a heart attached to it that says "post the long wall to M," and so on, until the last heart says "Go tell your teacher "Happy Valentine's Day!" — you may gift them a Valentine when they do!
Modifications:
Instead of giving directions, have each heart give a hint as to where the next heart is so that they must seek for it. "I'm near the brown horse picture," for example, or "I'm on the first letter of the word hat."
ST. VALENTINE SAYS
This is just like Simon Says, but use “St. Valentine Says” instead!
BROKEN HEART RIDDLES
Cut huge hearts in half. On one sheet, write the riddle, and on the other, write the answer. Make their "cuts" distinct so it's evident when they're a good match, and so the youngster can discover it even if they don't know the answer. You may make it a scavenger hunt, or you can let them choose from riddles on one barrel and then go discover the solution on the next, and so on. Riddles can be based around Valentine's Day (cupid, etc.) or horses (colors, etc.) or anything else you desire.
Modifications:
Give some kids riddles and some kids answers if it's a large group lesson. They must walk about asking each other about their possessions till they discover their companion.
MUSICAL HEARTS
The kids must convince their horse to stop by, or even step in, just as in musical chairs, but with large hearts! I'm not sure what you'd use for the hearts — maybe you could make hearts out of hoola hoops or sprinkle white powder over the ground in the shape of a heart.
Here are some examples of some good Online Valentine Day Trivia Games to play:
Valentine Day Trivia
Valentine Day Wheel
Valentine Day Party
Valentine Day JeoParody
Valentine Day Answer Battle
Valentine Day Tic Tac Toe
