Ooc:
I guess I'll be low activity for a while. I don't have much to respond to anymore, so I'll check back in here and there, but it will not be daily anymore.
Do not fret, I will get to replies. They will just be slow.

When it comes to surprises, it could the android more than a minute to assess the situation and all involved. it was very easy for his programming to switch into fight for flight mode. In most instances, he chose fight.
"Cole should not sneak up on Ralph!!" He exclaims with equal frustration. "Ralph does not like it!" Of course, he didn't know it wasn't intentional. Considering how he came to be damaged, it was not too difficult to get a sort of PTSD response out of him. He didn't like anyone touching him when he couldn't see it coming, not that he really like to be touched by most anyone anyway. Cole was lucky Ralph had not done worse.
Just as quickly as he had snapped, he had become rather quiet, looking at the ground, twisting the small shovel in his hands. "Ralph just wanted to help.... Ralph wanted to take care of the plants.... No one lets Ralph help..."
Among all of the androids to come through New Jericho, Ralph was certainly a unique case. Even though he was technically in their rehab program, Cole had serious doubts he would ever be able to live independently. The damage done and the instabilities they caused left Ralph in a perpetual newly awakened state; unpredictable, highly irrational, and by most human standards, dangerous. None of it was his fault of course, but it was a sad situation all around.
Not for the first time, Cole found himself prowling the streets, searching for New Jericho's lost lamb. The only good thing about the damage Ralph sustained was that the scar on his face made him easily recognizable, even to humans. Ergo, it wasn't too hard to follow the trail of pedestrians that could point the elder in the right direction. But when he found the damaged android, there was no time for a careful approach. Before them was a busy highway, and Ralph seemed determined to cross despite the oncoming traffic. Cole sprung to action, grabbing Ralph by the collar of his shirt and yanking him back just as a semi blared past. However lifesaving the action was, it also resulted in a handheld shovel colliding with his face as Ralph flailed in surprise. Cole had no choice but to let go, his hand reflexively coming back to cover a glossy white cheek.
"Ralph!" The elder yelps in a burst of shock and frustration. "Goddamnit, it's me!"

ooc: I'm still alive and I will get to replies this week, provided I have the time. I have an x-ray and start physical therapy this coming week.
I was hoping to get stuff done on this blog this weekend, but I hit terrible brain fog from a bad combo of things with sleep and meds for what I'm doing physical therapy for.
I just managed to get my replies done on my other blog today.
Sorry for the wait guys and thanks for your patience.

ooc: I've been busy and have had less to respond here as of late. I plan to do more over here now that I seem to have more followers. Please feel free to message me to do some character selections or some light plotting.
I promise I don't bite. Neither do my muses..... Okay... Ralph might.... But that's a different story.
Also, I track the tag memes. So you can always feel free to send in a meme. If there's a meme you've reblogged, but you'd like to use with one of my muses, more specifically one liner starter things or similar, feel free to throw them at me.

Just the top, pants, and shoes. That’s a very Ralph outfit once he gets out of his beaten up uniform!

Oh no you DON'T! (Ralph)
----
Ralph was just trying to garden. Now was that gardening being done on New Jericho grounds? No. But the humans certainly weren't taking proper care of them. He hated seeing plants neglected.
Once again, someone had found him all too quickly. Almost everyone knew if they saw the android out of the safety boundaries, he should be reported. Though some seemed to try and take matters into their own hands.
It's not that Ralph wanted to be dangerous, there were just some instabilities that could not be repaired. Too many parts in his processor fused to things they shouldn't be.
"Leave Ralph be! Ralph is just helping!" While he was not allowed sharp objects, he did manage to find a small handheld gardening shovel, holding it out at arms length as if it would keep anyone from coming closer.

"If you are certain....." Odi frowned just a little at the avoidance measures Alma seemed to be taking. He would remember it to ask about later. Now was not the time.
Trying to push the topic would only expend more energy than they both should.
He carefully took the other end of the cord, plugging it into his own port. He movements were a bit slow, and not quite as smooth as they were when his battery was more full.
"I will be functional enough to move once I reach 30%." He said after he ran the calculations. The good thing was, Alma had made him much more energy efficient. It didn't take nearly as much power to move as he used to.
It took a moment for Alma to respond after Odi spoke. He was still checking his own systems to make sure he was no longer dreaming. They told him he was awake now. His sleep cycle had finished charging him and he was back at 100%. The nice thing about synthetics was that they had self sustaining batteries. All they needed was some rest and their battery would recharge itself.
"You are running low on power. You may borrow some of mine," Alma said, without addressing Odi's comment. The truth was, no, he hadn't slept well. His dream had left him feeling a bit shaken. But he didn't want to let Odi know that. It would only worry the android.
Taking the emergency cord he kept in his pocket out, Alma offered one end of it to Odi while plugging the other into himself. There was a port on the back of his neck, the only real sign that he wasn't actually human. Once the cable was plugged in there, he waited for Odi to take the other end. "I can transfer some of my power reserves to you. Don't worry. It will not hurt, and we will both have enough energy to make it back to the labs."

Odi had been aware of Alma's dreaming, it was something he had become good at deciphering with his "sleep" patterns. However, it was not always easy to tell when it was a dream or a nightmare, as they could all elicit similar physical responses in the body. It wasn't until Alma woke the way he did that Odi knew for sure it had been a nightmare.
"You did not sleep well." Odi frowned. Of course, he was not surprised. Stressful situations did tend to bring out the worst in humans' sleep. Alma was not so different in that regard.
It was times like this he wished he could easily integrate with the other, to perhaps assist with said dreams, but he knew he could not. At least not in this setting.
The older android was careful not to move too much, knowing full well he had to conserve his energy. Though, he wished he could be of more comfort to the other. If he kept on this course, he would likely make back to the lab, just in time.
In any case, it was still the longest he had gone without a proper charge, and that was quite a feat, considering his base system was so old. Alma had done an excellent job with his repairs.
Admittedly, Alma was worried about Odi even using that much energy. But it was a good idea to have that added bit of security, just in case. So, reluctantly, he nodded his head in agreement. "Alright. Let me know if your battery runs too low, I can connect with you and give you some of my energy. I've got a spare cord on me for emergencies."
As Odi told him he would alert him of any danger and to use him to rest on, Alma gave him an apologetic sort of look. He felt bad that Odi had to be in this sort of position at all. It was inconvenient for him at best. But he was still being so good about it. "Thank you, Odi," Alma said softly, before resting his head against the android.
He watched the entrance with Odi for a few minutes, listening for any sort of disturbances. But nothing made a sound, and no one came into view. So, finally, Alma closed his eyes and entered rest mode.
A white hallway stretched on endlessly before Alma. He walked down the sterile corridor, footsteps echoing lightly as he came upon a door that had branches twisted around it's frame, creeping in through the cracks. The greenery was a stark contrast to the stark white of the rest of his surroundings.
Opening the door, Alma wasn't sure what to expect on the other side. There was a wooded area beyond the door, but what sat in the middle of the forest clearing made Alma scream. Odi's body, dripping blue blood and bent out of it's natural shape, lay on the ground lifeless.
Alma startled awake, gasping as his body jerked up into a sitting position from a laying one. He immediately looked around for Odi, dreading seeing him in the same state he'd just dreamed him in. But Odi was fine, still in the same position Alma had left him when he'd gone to sleep. The only difference was the lighting, as it was no longer completely dark. There was some sun filtering in through the canopy of leaves above them. It was morning.

"You are correct. He does not seem pleased by anything. I worry for him at times." George agreed with a small nod. "It is not good for one's health to be in such a state at all times."
"I believe I am ready to go, if all is in order." He was honestly surprised Manning's mind had not changed about letting him out and about. He was fairly certain it must have taken a lot of convincing on John's part to get him to agree in the first place.
"Will we be using a disguised vehicle?" The android asked with a slight tilt of his head. Any time he had seen the other non human agents leave, they never rode in normal vehicles. He always found the choices for said disguises to be quite strange, though he did not have a better alternative suggestion to a garbage truck.
It had been rather intriguing to watch George slowly open up over time, with a personality and opinions emerging from behind a barrier of confusion and fear. Out of everyone at the Bureau, John had been privy to it the most; the android had initially labeled him as ‘ primary user, ’ and that hadn’t really changed.
Although he always tried to encourage George in embracing that burgeoning individuality all the further, he remained aware that pushing too hard was liable to provide the opposite effect. Anyway, if it was only ever done to accommodate him, then didn’t that defeat the purpose? It was the sort of line John had never walked before, one that he was still figuring out.
Today, however, was all about new experiences. Although he was consistently on-call ( which stood for ‘ expected to immediately drop whatever he was doing in his spare time should he be called back to the Bureau ’ ), he intended for George to see and do as much as possible of what had been perceived as off-limits prior.
He was considering this, his thoughts already stretching beyond the confines of the field office, when his companion’s voice broke through such reverie. Suddenly drawn back to the present, John’s lips were quick to curve into a subtle grin at the sight of George’s own smile. “I can’t say I’ve ever seen Manning too pleased about much, but I think he’ll approve.”
George did look different — with an altered skin, certainly, yet there was an underlying sort of spirit there that was new, or at least hadn’t been quite so prevalent when they first met. Maybe it was a little of both. Then, one corner of his mouth rose slightly higher. “You look very nice.” Despite his distracted mind, he hadn’t missed the way George had lingered in front of the mirror, presumably debating over what would look best. “And you’ll blend in with humans, which is what Manning cares about the most.”
