WIND-Final Video
This video depicts the way in which the winds come together to make the entire world's natural scenery colourful and the visual emotions brought about by the removal of the scenery. The blank at the beginning represents a small convergence of winds, later on the winds come in all directions, bringing different colours. They pass through a wide variety of landscapes and add even more colour to them. In the end, it brings out different emotions, presenting a variety of colour moods through the combination of different colours. For the sound, I chose an accompaniment describing the wind and added some wind sound material, all copyright-free.

For this section I used black film, bleaching first and then smudging the colours. For those colours that were in large quantities, I blew them by mouth into the blank areas, thus fitting the theme of the wind. The description of this section is that there is no colour at the beginning, just the convergence of the wind stained with various colours as it flies. Green is still the dominant colour because the ubiquitous colour in the world is green.

For this part, I am using transparent film and rendering pigment on it. The description of this part with the expression is that the wind is free, it can be anything any colour anyone. The colouring here expresses different emotions, and it is always known that colours can express psychology and emotions. For example, green is the colour of the plant kingdom. The expressive meaning of green is abundance, fullness, serenity and hope, and the fusion of knowledge and faith permeates. When bright green is darkened by grey, it creates a sense of stability. I used green as the primary colour for the whole section, and slowly more and more colours were added to it, just like the wind, more and more winds from different directions will eventually come together.

I found some footage related to my theme and used pigment to stain the corresponding colour effect on the connected screen. For example, the trees became greener, the flowers became redder, the sky became rosier and so on. This is to fit my research and expand my idea of wind.
I found in the process that the blue paint would smudge into gold when I got it on the black film (or maybe it was the quality of the paint I bought). Also, this part is part of my making the wind into something figurative.

Project Proposal
Name: WIND
In reality, the wind cannot be seen or touched, but we can feel and hear it. So I will express seeing and hearing in the following three ways. The first is SMELL, as the wind can emit smells, not only of flowers and food, but also the smell of air polluted by chemical plants, etc. The second one is COLOUR. Whenever the wind blows, colourful colours come with it - the trees are green, the sky is blue, etc. But storms can also bring darkness and turn oases into deserts. The third is LIFE, which treats good people like a spring breeze with laughter, but treats evil people like a cold wind with sharpness.
The techniques I use will consist of three: scratch, bleaching and pigmentation. scratch is mainly about getting my main idea across as it is the best technique to control. bleaching, like the wind, is very unstable and the outcome is unpredictable at every turn. The third technique is painting with paint, which is also very relevant to my second part and conveys my secondary ideas.
About my sound design, the wind sounds will be the main track and the rhythm will change following the picture. Most of the sounds in the first part are natural sounds, the wind sounds in the second part change a lot and the last part is a combination of tone and wind sounds.

My Project Reference
In this work, every curve, every roughness that leaves its mark on the film is a movement of time itself, a trace of the passage of time. The "secret form" of the emulsion is revealed and emphasises the materiality of the celluloid, as well as the process of revealing the image. Further evidence is presented that the film material is not inert and that the film was made by burying black film in different periods and types of ground.

As she personally dug out 16mm film from a landfill in Elkhart, Indiana to complete her double projection. She gives new life to the films by hand-painting her own "images of enzymes and fungal decomposition". She tries to express her fear of man-made waste that harms the land and wildlife.
I was also inspired by this work regarding the sound design; Jennifer combined recognizable sounds, from bulldozers to natural audio, as well as using audio from consumer goods manufacturing plants to create more abstract textures and rhythmic sounds.

Fear of Blushing is a hand-painted film that evokes anxiety, conflict, joy and shame with irrepressible bursts of colour, erosion and ominous soundscapes. the fragmented visuals and sounds created by Jennifer explode out of the painted abstractions, leaving the viewer wondering what terrible things are buried here of what is buried here.

OPPOSITE
My theme is confinement. As u can see, I compare black film and footage film, the image on top of black indicates that it has been confined, and the footage is the real weather and mood. For example, a rainy day is confined, so the real world is clear and sunny, plants can get the sun and feel happy, their unhappy emotions are聽equivalent to being confined, and the opposite emotion expresses the aggravation of emotions.
Because the more the pen is used in the opening paragraph, the shorter the pen becomes. It's the opposite concept. And the paper becomes shorter and shorter, and the writing becomes more and more confined. That's why I'm doing this video.聽 聽
