i was wondering how you find references for your more gorey pieces? i'd love to make more gore myself but never know how to find what i'm looking for without ending up on some kind of watchlist haha

Most of my family work in the national health service here, so my morbid sense of curiosity was usually answered by my mom x’D
But she did keep all of her books from Uni which came in handy!
Medical photographs are also available and very useful sources!
Watching channels dedicated to live surgeries too
Obviously gore art is meant to be fun and expressive, not traumatising. So if some sources are too much then don’t, look at diagrams that you can utilise! Or use Pinterest, has good reference material there for gore
For example
that split in half piece used an mri scan as reference, nothing extreme was necessary for it.

A concept in my head that been rolling around a lot:
Hanahaki, but instead of it being triggered by unrequited love, it's triggered because all the love you have for a person turns inwards because you're too afraid to show it.
So it kills you, not because someone doesn't love you back, but because you don't let it out and all that love you have stored, that could grow into something beautiful, turns on you and turns your insides beautiful.
Love is growth, and without any place for it to grow outside, it grows in. If you confess, reciprocated or not, the disease goes away because it's no longer trapped. It gives self-destruction a new meaning.

Hyperfixating on your own OC is so frustrating. Nobody else wants to rotate them in their minds the way you do and if you talk too much about it they can get impatient and exasperated.
My poor blorbo. Unloved by all but me and to a lesser extent my boyfriend. My blorbo OC is so amazing and I can't explain it to anyone else.
