Tagora looks over the money, making sure it’s legitimate. He deems it so and pockets it with a charming, sharp grin. It’s a friendly grin. He’s being friendly.
“Immediate pay for services requested, fine business practice if you ask me. Drink wise, coffee with a heavy caramel taste, or chocolate- a macchiato. Unfortunately, due to the time period restraints with Derse, my selection has greatly narrowed. I wouldn’t have thought my palate spoiled, but now it’s a search to procure something palpable. It’s a work in progress.
I’m less picky about what I eat. As long as it’s fresh. I respect the ingenuity of the local mom and pop shops. Getting your foot in the door to build your brand isn’t exactly easy, but I’m not interested in investing in some startup struggling to compete with companies who have more revenue to keep their product up to standards.”

Signing your own Death Certificate

A message was sent to her with a beginning, middle, and ending packed to the gills with a bunch of legal jargon that Tagora had spent long hours meticulously putting together. After all, on learning who this fuchsia blood really was... well, Tagora was- still doing his very best, this teal blood wasn’t some half-baked defense legislacerator freshly hatched YESTERDAY.
The itemized list that was essentially what her bill would come out to be found Tagora waffling. Listen, he planned on getting paid, and the Condesce made it clear she was willing to fork over the dough but, the ol’ schoolhive lacked a course on ‘How to Handle the Actual Factual Queen Bee Herself 101′. What was the proper etiquette here? What was the script carefully worded out in some well-memorized textbook?
There was none, we’re all off the books now and Tagora was considering making a book on this predicament himself.
‘How to Be in Cahoots with the Freaking Condesce and Not Get Culled While Having the Privilege in Providing Her Various Diplomatic Immunities, a Subject You Wholly Were Not Prepared for but Now Find Yourself Specializing in Faking It Till You Make It... for Dummies’
A paw papped at Tagora’s face, drawing the young troll’s attention away from his furious typing, and towards a typo he had made. The ferret that was playing both editor and neck pillow for him was given thanks before the error was corrected.
Eventually, Tagora decided to include the financial statement in the file, adding a small clause of ‘to be revised’, considering things could change between now and her getting her way. Not to mention the issue of bribery, which he stated would further be explained on page 5, paragraph 7.
The several pages of legalities were also added, all null and void considering the law of the planet would consider this fraud, but Krillah had mentioned wanting something in hand, and Tagora preferred to have a contract in digital hand regardless of the situation. He was immaculate in everything he did. Along with that, a request for specifics.
What could be negotiated, what specific immunities she wanted, since he had to assume she wasn’t expecting a COMPLETE legal indemnity from all things Derse-Law. This wasn’t Alternia. As for page 5, paragraph 7, Tagora made mention he’d have to deal with lining pockets of those who were dirty in bureaucracy and as they had discussed, everyone had a price. He may need to tap into that to get her what she wanted, so this was more warning she’d have to shell out a little but really, she should already know. That’s politics for you.
Sending it off, Tagora left his signature, as fancy and flourished as one would expect out of this dandy.
