Migraines & Headache Relief

Lavender oil is also very beneficial to calm the nerves.

Basil oil helps combat migraines by reducing the amount of cortisol (stress hormones) in the bloodstream. It is also an adaptogenic herb which helps restore balance and energy in the human body.

The active ingredient in Peppermint oil is menthol. Menthol can be effective in treating migraines when applied to the head or when diffused. Applying peppermint oil to the temples and forehead provides relief from tension headaches.

Wintergreen oil helps with reducing pain and induces relaxation.

Rosemary oil also has anti-inflammatory and pain-killing properties.

Marjoram essential oil is a well known natural analgesic − it helps to relieve the pain of a headache. It is also an anti-spasmodic so it helps to relieve the tight, sore muscles that generally accompany a migraine headache.

The potent effects of Frankincense oil in the treatment of headaches is due to a collection of compounds found within this botanical essence known as monoterpenes.

Many of these have powerful anti-inflammatory properties which, much like conventional painkillers, reduce the swelling of blood vessels that initiate the reaction that leads to pain.

This blend is perfect to diffuse at home, or add to a lava stone bracelet. Add about 6-8 drops to a nice warm bath. You can also add 8-10 drops in a 5ml roller bottle or 15-20 drops in a 10ml roller bottle, diluted with fractionated coconut oil. Carry the roller bottle with you during the day, when those unexpected headaches come your way!
