I pray when we or anyone thinks about Sulli, it’s not about her passing, instead:
I pray and hope we think about how she started her career when she was merely a child, leaving a mark and achieving so much in her 15 years of career.
I pray and hope we think about all the years, the sweat & tears she put into being a trainee, an idol, an actress. Despite her young age, despite what she was going through. She always had a beaming smile on her face.
I pray and hope we remember how kind and empathetic she is. That despite a lawsuit filed against someone, she forgave and dropped the lawsuit cause she was worried it’ll remain in their record and they might have a difficult time finding a job.
I pray and hope we talk about how she graced the stage for nearly many many years.
I pray and hope we remember her choices when it came to acting, how she chose roles that shocked us and showed her versatility.
I pray and hope we talk about her transition from being a child actress to a singer, to a mature actress. But most importantly a genuine outspoken human.
I pray and hope we remember her openness and advocacy when it came to mental health. How she clearly voiced out and talked about racism and sexism in an industry where many avoid those topics that should not be avoided.
I pray and hope we remember how she opened up about her own struggles and mental health issue in hopes it brings more awareness to mental illness.
I pray and hope we remember her beautiful smile that could light up an entire room.
I pray and hope we remember her fierce loyalty and love for her family and friends.
I pray and hope we remember her name, her existence, her kindness & her warmth clearly.
“My name is Sulli. Sul means snow and Li means a pear flowers, so I’ll be probably reborn as a flower that is small but full of strong vitality.“ - Sulli

the fourth of july is a stupid and colonized holiday. did you know that indigenous americans weren’t considered american citizens until 1924? did you know that indigenous americans couldn’t VOTE until 1965? white people of america celebrate this false independence in a country that was never theirs in the first place. indigenous people were uprooted from their homes and their ideals and forced into a system that didn’t even recognize them as people until about 58 years ago.
