I don't think they've made something that has surprised me this much in a while!

Do you ever think about how Felix probably had to get his hair layered just like Adrien to pull off the switch in the Felix ep? Did he ask Amelie to do it or did he take in like, a magazine to a stylist?

I'm trying to find the speech thing from the end of season 3 (I think) so I'm watching Miracle Queen and the Hawkyura is just cracking me up rn

Thinking about Anna's fic Thirteen and how when things are happy in Adrien's family I can't help but think about what will happen- losing his mom and the relationship with his father, and when those things DO start happening, I think of how soon, he'll get his miraculous and find someone who makes him smile again.

Excited!! Especially since once I watch these I will be able to unblock all spoilers at long last. Just a little less than a month to wait!

You know, I don't think I've ever quite appreciated how much the rules matter for miraculous. Rules like kids detransforming 5 minutes after their attacks and needing to recharge. Hawky only being able to send out one akuma at a time. Having to detransform to akumatize himself. Even though sometimes things can be a touch inconsistent and sometimes the rules seem arbitrary, the limits give a sense of structure to the world.

I didn't realize how much of a difference it made until watching the movie, where there didn't seem to be much in the way of concrete limits. It left me asking why certain things were happening, cuz I know they shouldn't be able to.

While the movie has nice things in it, a lot of the time I was left confused by the changes made, and I also respect the series more than before for all the legwork put into it.

I'm watching Riposte and the akuma went into Kagami's ring!

I realize it's possible that some things weren't all worked out re: senti stuff/rules at this point, but I think there might be an in-universe explanation, too.

We know at one point Felix's ring cracked and he's still here. Kagami's Riposte transformation was all merged together, like the sword was merged with her hand and she's armor all over, etc. Maybe it works more like damage in that case?

Or maybe it doesn't count when it's transformed? I can imagine that being the case.

It's interesting to think about, anyway.

It looks like the ML movie is gonna be on Netflix instead of theaters here and I gotta admit I'm a little disappointed! I kinda wanted to hang out with other ml fans irl for a bit, all incognito but maybe wearing one of my pins to see if anyone recognized it.

I AM glad that this should mean I can watch it in French, though. And also that it will be easier/cheaper to watch.

I saw the Lackadaisy animated pilot the other day and honestly that was one of the most inspirational animated things I've seen in a while, because even though I don't follow it particularly, I've seen it around for years and always admired the artwork and style and consistency. Like, Tracy has been on DA and tumblr and whatnot about as long as I have and like... she's still at it, you know? And it's getting bigger, and seeing her super-distinctive characters come to life in 2D is just incredibly cool. It reminds me that things can still happen and that maybe even I can still do something cool someday. Also, I've missed 2D animation!!

Okay wait one sec but didn't they say the statue of Gabe is made from melted alliances? Aren't alliances made with bits of miraculouses?

Could there be some magic in it?
