Instagram Feed is a simple WordPress plugin that allows you to add your Instagram Feed and other people’s Instagram Feeds. It’s super easy to do.

The first thing you have to do is install the plugin.

To install this plugin please log into your WordPress dashboard, hover over Plugins and then click on Add New.

On the next page type “Instagram Feed” into the search bar. The plugin we want should be the first one in the top left.

Click on the Install Now button and then click Activate after it’s installed.

Once activated a new menu item is added to the left side admin menu called Instagram Feed. Click on it.

There are 3 steps to configuring this plugin:

1. Install 2. Customize 3. Display Your Feed

Installing Instagram Feed

For this step you just need to click the big blue button and log into your Instagram account when prompted to do so. Once you follow the steps you’ll be taken back to the install page.

Copy the Access Token and the User ID that are displayed on the page to the appropriate fields in the form below. Then scroll down and save changes.

Customizing Instagram Feed

The Instagram Feed plugin gives a ton of options to customize the display of the photo feed.

You can change the image width, height, size, number of columns, apply custom CSS, apply custom Javascript, you can put the images into an image carousel (pro version only), you can add captions (pro version only) and follow links (pro version only), just to name a few.

Set the options you want and save them at the bottom of the page. If you don’t like the options you’ve chosen when you embed the feed you can come back and change them.

Display Your Instagram Feed

This step is probably the easiest. Click on the Display Your Feed tab and copy the shortcode into a page, or post, or a sidebar widget.

Save the post, page or widget after you’ve pasted in the shortcode and then check out the feed on your site.

Now you can customize the appearance as you see fit.

You can also embed other user’s feeds on your site. All you need to do is find their user ID.

The easiest way to do this is open the following page in a browser:

https://www.otzberg.net/iguserid/

Now to go Instagram and find the feed you want. Right click one of the images in their profile and click on Copy Link Address.

Paste that address into the input field in the website above. Then click Go.

The site will then show you the User ID of that Instagram user. Copy that ID into any of these shortcodes on your site:

[instagram-feed] [instagram-feed id=”ANOTHER_USER_ID”] [instagram-feed id=”ANOTHER_USER_ID, YET_ANOTHER_USER_ID” num=4 cols=4 showfollow=false]

Now you’ll be pulling their feeds as well.
