No one asked but here's some trivia about those misfits:
Soleil and Lune have no official family names/surnames, but they do have families/relatives.
Soleil’s family is rich, but he doesn’t like to shot it down everyone’s throats (he would rather prefer to not be associated with his family – OG reason is they’re shitty; the Young Prince Detective version is that they’re a bunch of airheads);
Lune’s family is not that big, but she’s an only child with at least three cousins (she’s the baby cousin)
Étoile’s name being Noel is a reference to a LupPat character, Takao Noel.
The Space Trio has French space names BECAUSE I was in love with Cure Étoile and Cure Soleil’s names. In-universe they just grabbed it from google.
The trio are counterparts of the 02 kids in YPD. Soleil rivals with the boys’ traits, Lune with the girls. Étoile is an odd case in which he might be just a “Bridge” connecting both sides.
If you call Soleil by “Octo-head” he might snap and it won’t be good :V
Lune hates resorting to violence, but her only “violent” method to intimidate others is just giving them a deadly deep stare into your soul with the ire of 10 gods.
Their DigiTimeLines versions are actually 15 (Soleil), 14 (Lune) and 10 (Étoile) year olds. The YPD version has them as 17 (Soleil & Lune) and 16 (Étoile) year olds instead.
In DigiTimeLines, Étoile’s digimon partner is a purple Pokomon/Viximon named Renard. In the YPD version he’s acquainted with Miss Espimon.
Ah… I must say… Since some stuff came later while i watched Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne with a friend… Noel’s hair showing his eyes when he’s doing a 180º personality flip is based on Minazuki Yamato :V
That said, Noel is based on Beyblade’s Kenny. Soleil and Lune are based on Kamen Rider Fourze’s characters (Ryuusei and Nadeshiko).
Soleil likes action movies/TV shows with cool fights (possibly Shounen anime genre); Lune likes mystery and drama (possibly because she’s very psychic and emotional); Étoile is… fascinated with everything though. But he likes Mystery shows with magic and romance involved.
Noel’s surname being Leblanc was a recent “change”, because he was like Soleil and Lune, without one in mind. Also this is a plot point. That said, I still refer to him as either Noel and Étoile only.

.: Nöel's Memories
Nöel Leblanc is a peculiar specimen. He’s a human form of the most known and elusive phantom thief in the Digital World – Arsenemon.
But before absorbing data from the human world’s Phantom Thief genre, Nöel was a green eyed BlackTailmon who had been living in a small village and studying stuff. He liked to do magic tricks, so once he met a Sorcerimon he learned about the existence of Witchelny… And asked to go there, learn about magic spells (= the high-level programming language).
In Witchelny’s schools and libraries he learned about the ancient story of the Digital World, especially about how Vulcanusmon forged special armors for the digimon unable to evolve naturally and get more chances to survive in the wild. There were many Digimentals made with the data of fallen strong digimon associated with certain traits. Those mystical objects were used until they got obsolete and some got forgotten.
But then he learned about a wicked forbidden Digimental of Desire and its story of it getting stolen by someone and shattered into pieces. Also since it’s a cursed object, it would cause issues if left in the wrong hands. It was when Nöel mastered many fascinating spells and skills, and got in contact with the story of Arsène Lupin and its spiritual successors – the Phantom Thief genre. By absorbing that data, the BlackTailmon Nöel evolved into Arsenemon, and became a magic warrior able to execute great heists.
However, Arsenemon’s goals never were to be a villain. He would only steal things stolen from others and return them to their original owners, while he was looking for the Digimental of Desire in order to steal its pieces and seal it so it could never get used ever again. His research led him to a destined encounter with Miss Espimon, who became his partner-in-crime so they could work and detect the pieces quickly, and target those who dared to steal stuff from innocent digimon/humans.
One day he learned the shards were spread through the human world and then decided to investigate them by taking the forms of human beings. However, his most favorite form is of a shy French transfer student named Nöel Leblanc, who ends up meeting Youta (Soleil) and Mizuki (Lune) – and then asking them for help to get those fragments – also Daisuke and his friends as part of an exciting capper shenanigans.

Sep/2018 & Jan/2019 → July/2023
Art style evolved since 2018, and with this some design quirks on them as well. Instead of making a separate post for each of them… I will post them together, since they were planned to be a “trio of misfits”.
First rough idea was “I need to make a new character to fill the Fragment of Light” in my DigiTimeLines project. Soleil came first, as the mysterious yet suspicious vessel for “Homeostasis” – which was my trying to work with ▽ back in time until i decided this wouldn’t work with Adv/02 lore and started to just plot new ideas based on ▽ concepts. So, this “Homeostasis” who keeps in touch with Soleil? Might not be the real one. I won’t spoil stuff in-progress sorry.
Soleil was inspired by a Kamen Rider Fourze character (you can notice it by the space naming + the “uniform”) – Sakuta Ryuusei/Kamen Rider Meteor, which is one of my favorite secondary Riders in the entire franchise. I’m not spoiling Fourze, but if you watched it you’ll notice the similarities soon. Besides Ryuusei, I also got driven back into Xros Wars Hunters arc and got some inspiration from Mogami Ryouma for his classy and smug style. I think if Soleil had a voice actor… It would probably be shared with Ryouma’s – because I like this character and enjoyed his VA in Hunters (who’s also Simon from TTGL). Ah, the Detective Ichijouji blog-and-story Soleil has aged up a little more – So he’s not a 14yo there!!
As for Lune… She came later in the same month. She was supposed to be the “psychic girl” with the Fragment of Energy and be Soleil’s ally-and-best-friend. Her design was inspired by another Fourze character, Nadeshiko/Kamen Rider Nadeshiko. Despite the appearance being quite inspired by Nadeshiko… Her personality is… not much. She could’ve gotten Amano Nene’s vibes more often – she’s a mysterious girl, yet she advocates for pacific methods and found interesting Daichi’s ways to challenge Soleil-and-”Homeo” justice. Besides that, she… She doesn’t like to cross the line, and this is why she’s the only person (besides Étoile) who can stop Soleil from going off the rails. But she has her own issues too!! She only follows what she thinks is right and correct.
Étoile was the last, and his entire existence is a SPOILER for both projects featuring him. Despite using male pronouns, Étoile is enby and it might make sense once you learn more about him. His design is based on a Beyblade character whose name I only know by “Kenny”. He’s also paired with a Pokomon/Viximon subspecies, and its name is Renard.
Ah, the Detective Ichijouji blog-and-story Soleil has aged up a little more – So they’re not their original ages there!!

A Sophomore boy from the other class from the same High School Daisuke, Hikari and Takeru attend. His smug face hides a blind sense of justice and he can go off rails easily if not for Mizuki. His partner is Coronamon, who has a better sense of justice but it’s too loyal to Youta to not follow the boy’s orders.
Lately, he became one of the suspects surrounding Arsenemon’s mystery…
