It's definitely just me but for some reason the recent chapter's first coloured page gave me the same mood as the coloured page of Vol. 20 (the only one I've read asides from Vol. 1)

I mean....the decision making, the way he's torn between what to do, his insecurity about fighting by himself or choosing what to do...and also the Big Revelation he's just witnessed that he has to deal with by himself....

And he looks SO tortured in both panels? The boy man has been so conditioned into listening to others that the thought of standing by himself paralyses him...please give him a hug.

#truthfully i dont /hate/ that atsushi always relies on people #i guess im the type to believe that no one can really stand in this world alone even if they can have agency over their own lives #id just....like it better if atsushi choosing to fight alongside someone/ask the president what to do was framed as....#...him recognising that he isnt ready or healed enough to handle the weight of making his own decisions #except i dont know....i cant judge it yet....it's kind hard to parse ill be honest #i WILL say this tho #atsushi's finally getting to make his own choices but of course the choices he's given are major ones that involve people's lives #like please asagiri....first let him decide something simple...#or have him learn budgeting #or a haircut #maybe when he gets a haircut it'll signal character growth or something #yes yes im rambling nonsense but yeah the pages reminded me of each other #i cant have been the only one to notice that right?#bsd #bungo stray dogs #bungou stray dogs #bsd musings #bsd manga spoilers #manga spoilers #manga things #bsd atsushi
