Ok this may be me being pedantic BUT
Something's always bugged me about the Triumphant Skins. They're supposedly the survivors if they had the opportunity to rule the Constant (minus Maxwell) or something along those lines. And for those most part, they do a good job of it.
But you cannot tell me that Wilson would run it like Maxwell did and dress in a fancy suit that (if you go by his Guest of Honor skin and quote) he'd likely hate.
If Wilson was in charge of the Constant, there's no way he wouldn't treat the place like his own personal science experiment. Studying the behavior of humans under stressful conditions and deadly situations? That would be a goldmine of data for any aspiring scientist of the era.
TLDR Wilson's Hallowed Nights skin is a better fit for a Triumphant skin instead of him cosplaying as Maxwell.

“all my people hate twice; but i’d sit on his face 🥴🥴” why is that such a mood!! he might not have a ton of experience but the enthusiasm would make up for it. pls just let me sit on his face 😩
DNSONR I SAID TWICE? I MEANT HAWKS LMDAOA
but YES (nsfw below!)
Twice’s split personality ass, he’d say “itadakimasu!” and “It kind of stinks” before eating the coochie LMFAO
But never having even touched a woman, jin would bark for a chance to get between ya legs.
It’s sloppy and depraved, the way he slots his mouth over you and tongues at your clit and slurps out everything you have to offer, but he’s in it for the win, baby. His hands are everywhere, palming himself one minute—because fuck this is it! this is it for him—and then squeezing your thighs, your hips, your booty, sliding up your lower back. Every time you shimmy, even if it’s only a little, he’s jerking you right back down with thick fingers and a renewed, iron-clasped grip. Have you seen him??? Twice is built as fuck; he wraps his whole bicep around you and slides you closer to his mouth so he can shove and wiggle his tongue in as deep as possible.
You try to shy away. Like, lmao, sir I’m heavy. But like I said—Twice is built as fuck. You think he give a fuck? Not at all, is the answer. Not in the slightest.
Your smell, the taste, the way you’re practically crying, begging him to give you more, more, faster, harder, to rub your clit—Twice’s dick literally has its own heartbeat.
And the man is always talking. Even now, he’s spluttering about how beautiful you are, how wet you are, how good it feels in there, how pretty your pussy is. And he constantly bounces back and forth between praises and degradation, “Oh, what a pretty princess—you sloppy whore”. Excited babbling that you put to rest when you grind down and he shuts the fuck up.
He’s the type to moan, too. I can feel it. Gasping and whining up into your pussy—can’t you cum for him? One more time? Wanna feel you clamp on his tongue again. Just one more time, he promises. He swears.
yeah... yeen gettin’ outta this one, boo.
Imagine he gets you like this IN THE VILLAIN SUIT?! literally lost my breath, gimme a minute

I’m yelling into the void a bit more about Don’t Starve, don’t mind me. Specifically about Wilson, his medical know-how, his weird relationship with death, and the origin of his Forbidden Knowledge.
Let’s start with the easy one, Wilson being medically trained.
To start, Wilson’s quote for the Peg Leg.
Tumblr media
Then in the Forge, Wilson’s special ability is to revive his teammates twice as fast with more health.
Wilson’s Victorian Skin is an old-timey doctor, even mentioning the four humors (even if that practice was far outdated by the Victorian Era).
I remember once seeing a quote about Wilson getting kicked out of a school for setting something on fire, but take that with a grain of salt because I am struggling to find it.
Now onto Wilson’s weirdness with death of his fellow man.
It’s clear the Constant has left him quite jaded with death as a concept, which is very fair.
But you cannot tell me that a man with a normal view of death would find a skeleton under the floorboards of his new house and just…put the boards back. Or hell, that skeleton is very likely to be the one we see strung up in Wilson’s lab in the very first short!
There’s also Wilson’s quote for Skeletons from Don’t Starve classic:
Tumblr media
As well as his disregard for the sanctity of graves.
Tumblr media
So yeah. He isn’t normal about human death, just like how he isn’t exactly normal about science.
Wilson is confirmed to be the creator of several items that everyone is able to craft and use.
Obviously the Meat Effigy, but it doesn’t stop there.
Maxwell isn’t particularly enthused about the Think Tank:
Tumblr media
The Fire Pump is bemoaned to be his:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Booster Shot is another item he’s very likely to have made, seeing as he’s the only one truly enthusiastic about it. Further connects him to his medical know-how, as well.
From the Survival Tips, Wilson is also very likely to be the one to have made the first Telltale Heart.
Revive: “We nearly lost one of our numbers today. In a mad daze I created…something…that managed to pull our friend back to the land of the living, but…whatever it was, I fear I cannot rightfully say it was within the realm of science…” -W
Gardeneer: “I’ve finally perfected my design for an ingenious (if I do say so myself) device that stores important garden-based knowledge. Certain naysayers might point out that it looks like nothing more than an overturned flowerpot worn on the head…some people simply don’t have an eye for science.” -W
The tips are (almost) all signed with a W, but it’s clear who wrote these ones, especially since Wilson wore the Gardeneer hat during the Reap What You Sow trailer.
That hat leads me to my next point. It is something that Wilson made, he invented it.
Then tell me why you are able to upgrade it at the Ancient Pseudoscience Station, when literally everything else you can do at it is craft fully ancient artifacts?
And doesn’t the storage of knowledge sound eerily familiar? Such as…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whatever depths Maxwell snagged Wilson’s Forbidden Knowledge from, it definitively has origins with the Ancients.
Which…
Tumblr media
…is quite concerning.

Something I like to think about is that the Jury-Rigged Portal has the eye of a Deerclops in it.
Tumblr media
Meaning Wilson and Maxwell survived at least one winter together, seeing as there's no snow on the ground in the Cyclum Comic, and that they worked together to fight and defeat the Deerclops for the eye.
And there must have been a lot of trust and faith put in that portal since that's a wildly important resource for springtime.

Yknow I like Maxwil when its one of them on the throne as much as the next guy, but the dynamic they'd have is pretty static.
I love it when they're on the same level, both trying to survive the Constant and each other.
Maxwell knows a lot more about the Constant, but has no experience living through it.
Maxwell is physically weaker than Wilson, but has a lot more magical oomph.
Maxwell canonically feels indebted to Wilson for what he did and has no idea how he's gonna repay him.
Wilson has a lot of experience in the Constant.
He relies on his wit, and that equally gets him in and out of trouble.
Going off his quotes, Wilson is clearly still pissy about what Maxwell did. Not just bringing him here in the first place, but likely upset that Maxwell seemingly left him alone to rule the Constant.
But thats just in the beginning, in the Cyclum comic days.
How does the terse allyship between them change?
What about when other survivors show up?
When do they realize they see each other as friends? Do they ever acknowledge it?
What about when they realize its more than that?
Slow burn is the name of the game when it comes to Maxwil. Its slow, with the two of them clashing and scraping each other's edges until they, long in the future, lock together like puzzle pieces.

I wanted so badly to draw Maxwell in a union suit like THIS...
Tumblr media
...but NO ITS ANACHRONISM and my brain will not Just Drop It.
So Maxwell was dragged to the Constant in 1906.
The earliest I've found reference to this specific style of union suit is the above ad from 1910.
Good fit for Wilson, less so for Maxy.
This style, however, was a union suit available in 1902.
Tumblr media
On the bright side, rayon was invented around 1905 at least he wouldn't be scorching in that three piece suit under the hot stage lights.
HILARIOUSLY in my research I happened across this ad from 1905.
Tumblr media
Look very closely at the name of the company at the bottom there.
Tumblr media
I'm dead.
