When Nathan met Bela - Nathan Drake x Bela Talbot

I used the video game versions of Nathan and Sully as they would more fit with this story.

Nathan and Sully followed every part of the plan. They arrived at the auction smartly dressed, Sully kept his eye on the crowd while Nathan went out the back and went to the storage area where the most prized possessions are kept. Nathan managed to unlock the glass box that contained the artifact without triggering any alarms then once that was done Nathan signaled to Sully through his earpiece and Sully went and switched on the fire alarm.

This immediately got the crowds moving everyone went out as quickly as possible. Nathan slipped into the crowd and kept the small artifact hidden inside his pocket. He kept his head low as he went out not wanting to draw suspicion.

Suddenly he felt someone bump into him. Nathan looks up ready to snap but his mouth hung open when his eyes went on the person who bumped into him.

"I'm so sorry." The woman said with an apologetic look.

Before Nathan could reply the woman clutches her bag and quickly walks off. Nathan couldn't help but sneak a glance at her back as she went off.

Not bad. He thought.

As they reached the exit Nathan quietly slips away into the bushes and goes round the side of the building. He climbs over the wall and jumps down. Wanting to avoid the cameras Nathan ducks down and continues the last leg of his journey through the bushes.

He sees a car up ahead.

Sully is sat in the car behind the steering wheel. He raises his eyebrow when he saw Nathan stumble out of the bushes.

"Took your time." The older man grumbled.

"No I'm so glad you are not caught and alive?" Nate quipped back.

The younger man then gets into the car and shakes the twigs and leaves out of his hair and suit.

"Hey watch it!" Sully scolded at him.

Nathan ignores him and checks himself in the mirror.

"Well..." Nate brushes his hair and gives his friend a grin. "I think that went rather well."

"Yeah too well."

Nate rolls his eyes.

"You're optimistic."

"Where is it?" Sully asks his tone serious.

Nate smiles and opens his suit jacket.

"Right in he..."

He goes quiet when he finds nothing in there. He checks his other pocket and again there was nothing. The thief swallows as he checks his back pockets.

"Nate." Sully said his voice stern. "Where is it?"

Nathan turns his head round. His eyes are wide with shock and worried.

"I...I don't know. Its...Its gone."

Sully slaps the wheel and swears out loud.

"God damm it Nate how the Hell did you lose it?"

"Who said I lost it?"

"You had it right?"

"Yeah."

"So you dropped it?"

"No!"

Sully raises his eyebrow. Nathan shakes his head.

"I swear I haven't dropped it!"

"Then where the Hell is it?"

Nathan bit his lip as he replayed the recent events in his mind. After a few moments Nathan's eyes widen and realization shows on his face.

"Aww crap."

"What?"

Nate laughs nervously.

"I've been robbed. She stole it."

"She?"

"The woman she bumped into me and before I could say anything she ran off. It must be her there's no other explanation."

"So you're telling me someone else was here tonight and they were after the same thing and you gave it to them?"

"I didn't give it to them."

"You gave them the perfect opportunity." Sully barked. "She took it and you thought nothing of it."

"I didn't know she..."

"Bumping into you, that raises red flags come on Nate I taught you this." He shakes his head. "Boy you are slacking."

"Okay okay." Nathan raises his hands. "Chill. We got this we'll get it back we'll find her." He grins. "It will be easy."

Sully runs a hand down his face and sighs heavily.

"I knew it I knew something was gonna happen."

He again sighs.

"I hate it when I'm right."

...........

"Okay."

Sully abruptly closes the door. Nate bolts up right from the table.

"Uh what?"

He rubs his eyes and blinks a few times. Sully drops a file in front of the younger man.

"I've found her."

Nate grins.

"See I knew I count on you."

"Just open the damm file."

"Okay."

Nathan opens the file and scans the documents.

"I made some calls, managed to hack into the CCTV." Sully taps the picture. "Her name is Bela Talbot."

"You know her?"

"We crossed paths once." Sully lights up a cigar and inhales it. He blows out the smoke and coughs slightly. "She wanted information on this artifact."

"Did you give it to her?"

"Hell no. You know me Nate I don't share anything." Sully shakes his head. "She's a businesswoman, like us she goes after the most prized possession then she sells them off and makes a profit out of it. She goes where the money is. She doesn't care where the treasure came from all she cares about is what goes in her pocket."

"You knew all that from one meeting?"

"She's known in the community. We were warned to stay clear from her she's sly likely to stab you in the back the moment you turn your head round. All she cares about is herself."

"Does she work alone?"

"From what I know yeah she does." He looks at Nate with a disappointed expression. "You fell right for her damm trap."

"I already said..."

"She gave you the doe eyes and you felt bad and let her go?"

"No." Nate sighs. "You are really not gonna let this go."

Sully does another blow with his cigar and opens another page in the file.

"This is her address. It wasn't easy took quite a bit of digging."

"Well great lets go."

As Nate goes to grab his bag. Sully stops him.

"Uh uh." Sully raises his hand. "Do you remember what I just said."

"Every word." Nathan grinned.

"What are you planning on doing?"

"I'm gonna go and see her and get it back."

"That easy huh?"

"Yes it will be a piece of cake."

Sully still blocked his path.

"Nate." Sully showed a flash of concern. "You shouldn't underestimate her she will do anything to get what she wants. You could get hurt or worse dead."

Nate's face turns serious.

"I'll be fine." He assured the older man. "Trust me I got this."

Sully sighs. He knew Nathan was deep down beating himself up over this he blamed himself a lot in the past and still blames himself now. Nate always tried to cover up with humor but Sully can see through his act he can see the hurt and the guilt that Nate carried on his shoulders every day. It was one of those times Sully felt sorry for the damm kid.

Maybe I've been too hard on him.

"Lets just think this through first." Sully puts out his cigar and sighs heavily. "I say we gotta..."

He paused as he turns back round. The file is gone and Nathan is gone.

"Nate!"

Sully opens the door and runs outside. He sees the car go off down the road.

"God damm it you idiot!"

Sully walks back into their motel room and sits on the bed.

He never listens. He never fucking listens.

With a frustrated sigh Sully gets out his phone and begins making calls.

......

Bela Talbot lived in the penthouse at top of the apartment building. It wasn't like some sleazy motel where he and Sully have stayed in this place was grand and fancy.

She's got money alright.

Once Nathan reached the top floor he walked along the hallway until he found the number to Bela's room. He gets out his tools and begins picking the lock. He grins when he hears the door un click. Nathan slowly pushes open the door and checks his surroundings.

All clear.

He gets out a gun and walks through the penthouse.

Nate goes into the rooms and looks through the drawers and cupboards, checks the floor for any secret hiding places and he feels around on the wall for any buttons, cracks anything that could hold the artifact.

So far no luck.

He finally enters the bedroom. After searching through the drawers he bends down and shines a flashlight under the bed. He lifts the carpet up and again looks for any broken wood or secret passageways.

Again there is nothing.

Damm

Nathan sits up and sighs heavily.

"Where the Hell did you hide it?"

"You know it's rude to come in someone's house without knocking first."

Nathan suddenly whips round and aims his gun towards the unexpected voice.

The same woman from the auction stood in front of him with a big smirk on her face. She to also had a gun.

"Hello again." She grinned.

Nate huffs a small laugh.

"Bela Talbot."

"Nathan Drake."

"Ah so you know me?"

"I heard about you. You are a famous man."

"Really? Would you like an autograph? I have to warn you it won't be cheap but from what I'm seeing..." He gestures around her room. "Money will not be a problem."

"Oh I roll in it." Bela smirked. "So want to tell me why you are here?"

"I think you know why. You have something that belongs to me."

"Belongs to you?" Bela snorted. "I don't think so."

"Don't act dumb with me."

"Oh I'm not. I'm just saying technically it's not yours and was never yours to begin with."

"And yet it's not yours either. So you are the one to talk."

"At least I know how to look after it. Unlike you." Bela laughs. "It was so easy. I know where you were looking after I left. Did you enjoy the view?"

"Umm..." Nathan blushed slightly.

Was it that obvious?

"It was." Bela said reading his mind. "You were like a dog about to drool over his new toy."

"No I wasn't."

Bela went back to that playful smirk. She goes to take a step forward but Nate lifts his gun higher.

"Don't come any closer." He warned. "Or I will you..."

"Shoot? Sure."

"You think I won't shoot you?"

"Not think." Bela smiles. "I'm certain."

"Oh lady." Nate shakes his head. "You have no idea."

"I know you would do what is necessary." She nods. "Like me you are a survivor but..." She paused. "That's where our similarities end you don't want to shoot me I can see it in your eyes me on the other hand I would happily cause some damage."

"If you are so sure on your theory then why not try it now? Huh? Go on."

Bela tilts her head.

"I just got this carpet it's new don't want to get blood on it."

"Excuses." Nathan laughed.

The sound of the gunshot makes Nathan go quiet. He turns round and sees the bullet hole in the wall.

"I just had that painted as well." Bela huffed an annoyed sigh. "The next one we'll be in the head."

"Look." Nathan suddenly became serious. "Just give me what I want and I'll leave you alone okay?"

"What you want?"

She raised an amused eyebrow. Suddenly she walks over to him. Nathan increases his grip on his gun as Bela got closer. She then stops inches away from his face.

Their guns are pressed against each other's bodies. Nathan laughs nervously.

"Well this is awkward."

Bela slowly moves her hand towards her ropes. She loosens the knot.

Nathan gulps as her dressing gown opens revealing her body.

His gun was still pressed against her chest.

His eyes rake her over. She had nothing expect her bra and panties on. His eyes linger on her cleavage. She leans on the gun and gives him a sneak peak of her breasts. Nathan almost choked at the sight.

Is it me or has it gone hot all of a sudden?

She grins at his reaction.

Seconds later Nathan snaps out of it and he quickly backs away from her.

"No!" He looked disgusted. "No! You are crazy you are fucking crazy."

"I'm crazy?"

"Minute ago you wanted to kill me and now you wanna get in my pants. Uh uh not happening nope. I have diginty."

"Diginty?" Bela laughed. "Rich coming from you."

"Just...Cover yourself up please."

Bela did the opposite.

She removes her dressing gown and let's it drop on the ground.

Nathan silently cursed.

"You look tense." Bela pointed out. "I can see the sweat pouring down your face. Do you want a drink?" He didn't reply. She shrugged. "Suit yourself."

Bela pours herself a glass of whiskey. She sips it. She then licks her lips. Nate watched as her tongue rolls around her mouth. As she puts her drink down Nate's eyes return to her ass.

She knew he was looking. She knew he was enjoying the view although he won't admit it out loud.

She heard the slight hitch in his breath. He is slowly losing his composure.

Nate found himself in the corner of the room. She is there right in front of him again.

She moves one hand behind her back and swiftly removes her bra. She tosses it to the side.

Nate grits his teeth.

Bela leans forward. Her hot breath hits his face. She kisses his neck. The kiss is slow and tender.

The kiss sent a jolt of electricity through him. His body tensed and the gun trembled slightly in his hand. Bela cups his cheek and turns him towards her.

Her other hand goes on his gun. She stops the shaking. It took Nathan a moment to realize she has discarded her weapon and now she is making him drop his.

"No." He mumbled.

She kisses the other side of his neck.

"Don't fight it." Bela shakes her head. "You will always lose."

Nathan is struggling for the first time in ages he was speechless.

Maybe I should have brought Sully with me.

Nathan could gain back control he can force her to tell him where the artifact is. If she wants to play games he can play games alright Nathan always had a competitive side to him.

However for some reason Nathan refused to push her away part of him wanted to give into the temptation. Bela is annoying as Hell but Nate had to admit she is attractive.

He felt so conflicted right now.

Fuck...

Nathan looks into her eyes and sighs heavily.

"Fine."

The gun slips out of his hand. Nathan pulls her in and kisses her on the lips. Bela responds to the kiss. She pushes her tongue all the way in.

Moments later Bela pulls away and takes his hand. She guides him to the bed.

"So we are really doing this?" Nathan asked. Bela lies him down on the bed. She sits between his legs and starts removing his belt. "I take that as a yes."

Nathan sighs with relief when Bela finally removes his jeans.

His erection sprung out when Bela removed his boxers.

Nate heard her suck in a sharp breath. Her reaction to his little Drake caused him to smirk.

"Now it is my turn." As Nathan goes to touch Bela's panties she slaps his hand away. He raises an eyebrow. "Oh so we are doing this now huh? You want me to wait."

Nathan didn't see any sign of teasing on her face. Her face was serious.

Nathan didn't want to upset her if she wants control she can have control.

Eventually that annoying smirk was back on her face. She grasps his length and starts to stroke it. Nathan grits his teeth as Bela continued to stroke it. He suddenly gasps as Bela drew him into her mouth. She took him whole all the way up to the back of her throat. She choked at first shocked at how long his dick is. Then she started to tease him. Nathan took that as a yes.

Then their eyes met. Nathan's eyes sparkled with mischief while her eyes looked slightly dazed.

She blinks a few times to clear the fog from her mind. She then smiles at him and leans down and kisses him on the lips.

They stayed like that for a while. Their lips locked together.

Nathan then sits up and wraps his arm around her waist. He turns them on their side their lips never breaking contact.

Just then there is a sound of a click.

Bela's eyes fly open. She quickly looks round and sees her hand cuffed to the post.

"No." Bela tugs and pulls. "No no no."

Her wide eyes dart in all directions.

"Aww plan backfired?"

Bela looks and sees Nathan lying down next to her with a big smirk on his face.

"Before you came in here I found the cuffs in your drawers next to your bed and I thought oh so she's the kinky type but when you started to give me that performance." He clicks his tongue. "I knew you were planning something. I will admit I did want it you are a stunning woman and it was a pleasure but...from the moment you wanted control I knew you were waiting for the right time to get those cuffs out and well here we are." He gestures to her hand. "I was right I managed to hijack it in the last minute and slip those cuffs on to you." He smiles. "I caught you red handed. Now..."

He slides off the bed and puts his clothes back on. Bela watched him her face is blank. Nathan opens the drawers and gets a key out.

"Lets make a deal you tell me where the artifact is and I will set you free if you don't." He opens the window. "I will drop this key and you will be screwed. So what is it gonna be?"

Bela continued to stare at him. Then she laughs and shakes her head.

"Well played very well played bravo." She again shakes her head. "Turns out you are not as stupid as you look."

"I'll take that as a compliment. Now where is it?"

"You won't do it. You won't leave me here."

"You sure about that?"

Nathan sticks his hand out of the window. His fingers start to loosen around the key.

Then he lets go.

"OKAY!" Bela screamed. "OKAY!"

Nathan quickly catches the key with his other hand. He chuckled at her horrified expression.

Oh how the tables have turned.

He closes the window.

"But." Bela glares at him. "Will you stick to your end of the deal?"

"I'm a man of my word." Nathan nods. "Give me the location and I will give you the key. I promise."

"Fine. I'll tell you."

When Bela told him the location Nathan pulled a face.

"You serious?"

She nods.

"Why did you hide it there?"

"Your reaction just proved it was a good hiding spot." She smirked. "Now go and get it so I can get out of these cuffs."

Nathan went off to get the artifact. Five minutes later he came back with the artifact now in his possession.

"Now give me the key."

Nathan drops the key by her foot. Bela frowns at him.

"I got to give myself a head start."

"You bastard." Bela muttered as she tried pushing the key forward with her foot.

She swears as she kept losing the key. She is going to be here a while.

Nathan whistles as he walks to the bedroom door.

"This will not be the last time Drake."

Nathan turns his head towards her.

"Hmm?"

"We'll meet again." She said with certainty.

"Is that a threat?"

"Its a fact." She nods. "Its a small world out there Drake our paths will cross again just you wait and see."

"Well..." He grins. "I look forward to it. Right now, goodbye Bela."

Nate then turns round and leaves the room.

Nathan gets into the car and blows out a sigh. He looks up where her penthouse is and shakes his head.

Nice try Bell.

Nathan gets his phone out and switches it on. He had a ton of missed calls from Sully.

Ah crap he is gonna kill me!

Nathan presses on to the older man's number. After a few rings a voice suddenly comes through.

"Nate?"

"Hey Sully."

"God damm it Nate!" Sully snapped with anger. "What the Hell are you playing at? I've been calling you non-stop since you left."

"I got it." Nate cuts him off. "I got the artifact."

It went silent for a minute.

"Sully?"

"You...You got it?"

"Yes I just said I got it."

"Was she there?"

"Yes she was."

"What happened? How did you get it back?"

"Uh I think its for the best if I don't tell you."

"Nate what did you do?"

"It doesn't matter what I did okay? I got the artifact thats all that matters. I'll be with you in 30 alright?"

A sigh came from the phone.

"Fine I'll see you then."

"Great bye...bye."

Nate ends the call and puts his phone away. He looks up at her window again. He sees the window starting to open.

Right thats my cue to go.

Nate quickly starts up the engine and speeds off down the road.

........

Once Bela finally set herself free she quickly put on her dressing gown and went to the window. She opens it and looks out of it.

In the corner of her eye she saw a car speed down the road. She didn't see the driver but she knew it was him.

Bela smiles and shakes her head.

What a night.

She closes the window and walks into the kitchen and towards her vase of flowers. She removes the flowers and sticks her hand in the vase. She then pulls something out.

"Oh dear Nathan."

Bela turns the artifact over in her hands. One of the things Bela learned in this line of work is to always make a copy of the original object. That lesson has truly paid off.

He thought he won.

She laughs as she puts the artifact down on the table.

Hilarious.

Bela pulls a chair up and sits down on it.

She pours herself another drink. She then raises it in the air.

"Here's to victory."

She sips her drink and hums with delight.

And it tastes so damm good.
