Hi!
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: He’s amazing and an absolute fave.
Charles Gunn: Another fave. He’s a great guy, which is hard to find even in TV characters.
Willow Rosenberg: I like her arc despite its flaws. I love how powerful she gets as a witch.
Cordelia Chase: I try not to let the latter seasons sour my opinion of her too much. She has some amazing moments.
Xander Harris: I almost chose him over Cordy. I like Xander a lot more than Cordelia overall, yet I love AtS more than BtVS...

Season 5, I love the arc this season, the themes of family and responsibility, I think Dawn was a really interesting addition, loved Glory as a villain and the finale is one of my favourite season finales of any show.
Season 2, the Bangel relationship is beautiful, I adore both the Willow/Oz and Cordy/Xander pairings, love the Angelus arc, Spike and Dru are fun, it contains some of my favourite episodes and the finale is amazing and heartbreaking.

i can’t think of anything for GSNK! i guess the one thing would be to make hori less violent to kashima bc when there’s blood and bandages and it’s played for laughs i am…uncomfortable.

this is just going to be five different ways of saying ‘no epilogue’ probably. starting with: LET GINNY BE A CHARACTER! let her development continue past book 5 instead of redirecting her into filling in the cookie-cutter love interest role, with no more personality or agency outside of what she needs to be someone harry could believably be interested in.
let harry be traumatized! let everyone be traumatized! it’s completely glossed over at every opportunity, and when it’s actually present it’s never treated with care.
could even one person call dumbledore’s treatment of harry what it is—grooming a child to die?
metaphors for racism and other forms of oppression used for characters who carefully do not belong to any of the groups who experience the real-world equivalents are boring and lazy
i think we all know all my real issues already so for the last one i’ll go with: the total incoherence of the world-building when it comes to numbers and logistics will always be a major frustration. i’m not taking recent additions to the harry potter canon into account for any of this list but boy have they drawn attention to so many areas that just do. not. make. sense.
btvs
five is not enough, oh my god. let’s start with: don’t do that to kendra. and relatedly, be less goddamn white. you’re set in california you don’t have to be like this
the show spends way too long accepting xander’s behavior as normal teenage boy crap and that’s one of the most annoying things when rewatching.
lord, the inconsistent moral standards…in stories where i can read it as the characters being inconsistent, as people always are, it’s a lot easier to swallow than here, where it’s so often the stance of the narrative itself.
for a show that was supposedly about women being independent and having agency it sure had a horrible track record as far as bodily autonomy
willow’s arc in season 6 was so so poorly executed
