𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒

International Women’s Day is celebrated each year on 8th March, it is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

Phantom Healthcare appreciates and honours all women on International Women’s Day.

Happy International Women's Day!🙋‍♀️ Today, we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women around the world, while also recognizing the ongoing struggle for gender equity. As a father of three girls, I am passionate about advocating for equal rights and opportunities for all women. However, I must also express my opposition to the idea of quotas for women in positions of power. While the intention behind such quotas may be noble, I believe that they ultimately undermine the hard work and qualifications of women who have earned their positions through their own merit. My daughters, my wife and all women, deserve to be judged based on their talents, skills, and experience, rather than their gender. Instead of quotas, I believe we should focus on creating a more inclusive and supportive workplace culture that values diversity and actively works to eliminate biases and barriers to success. Al comienzo no encontraba el “mood” eso que va más allá de la imagen que tenia al frente: el color que debia usar, la forma, el tono, la estructura…en fin debajo puedo decir que hay otras 10 caras distintas con distintos esquemas debajo entre trazos. Women are the real architects of society." Let's honor the incredible contributions women have made and continue to make in shaping our world.

Only if I possess the art of storytelling, I would preface why my great-grandmother (1917-2003) shut her eyes when we asked her to smile. While 5 years old Shuchi is busy capturing her moments, My today-year-old knows this woman as, bal Vadhu, A young widow, an only parent to her daughter, mother to her grandkids and a son to her father. And as if this was not enough to make her strong, destiny tossed her again, and she lost her only child (my paternal grandma).

But this was not what she imagined her life to be, I know her as a solo traveller, From Kanyakumari to Kedarnath, Jagannath puri to Somnath, Goa to Vizag, Ooty to Kashi and to where not.

I never saw her sobbing, crying over her destiny or cursing her beliefs, I know her, who played multiple roles. I know this woman, who wore an off-white georgette Saari for decades, has tomboy hair, and heavy old reading glasses with a walking stick, who never gave up despite the odds.

Maybe this is how I've learnt to not stop in life and stay determined. For me, she is the epitome of "Strong Woman" .
