Simon my guy

I'm rewatching Adventure Time for what might be the fourth or fifth time (always a good course of action) and I've noticed that now that I've known for some years that the Ice King is/was Simon Petrikov I no longer think of him as the Ice King. At one point I wanted to rewind to see what he was up to in the background of a scene and said to myself "What was Simon doing?" He's just Simon now. Simon and his stanky old wizard eyes.

Sharing a classic cartoon with y'all today! I really enjoyed the Nickelodeon cartoon "Doug" as a kid.  What I never saw much of though, was the shows Disney revival "Brand Spankin' New - Doug!" At the time I shunned the show, just because some of the voice actors had changed - most notably,  Billy West wasn't voicing Doug this time. I remember the art style being a little different too, though I have trouble seeing the difference now (maybe I've got stanky old wizard eyes). Having found a couple episodes on youtube, I wish I had watched more of it as a kid, because it's just as charming. Cool visuals, good humor, likeable characters, and positive messages. This episode was a Halloween-themed one so naturally that makes it twice as nifty in my book. It teaches the lesson of not blindly believing in rumors - how important it is to check facts before you assume things or you could end up really hurting someones feelings, or causing a huge catastrophe.

Witchy confession: I've got mild schizophrenia and severe bipolar 1 which causes hallucinations so I'm never actually sure if I saw a spirit/fae/anything ever or if it was just my illnesses. It sometimes makes me feel better to call them my stanky old wizard eyes from the Mortal Coil episode of Adventure Time tho when Ice King was talking about how he doesn't trust his vision. Idk I just needed to share my doubt with another witch
