i have 3 wip docs open (help) but today y'all get some more proposal au currently titled "the full spectrum of human emotion" <3 here is the snippet i posted on sunday as well :) i wrote this between the hours of 2 - 4am so forgive any errors xoxo
Alex rolls his eyes. “You're gonna have to get used to me touching you, Henry. We're engaged. Our immigration officer is operating under the assumption that I’m literally inside you on a regular basis—”
“Excuse me?”
“—which means you can't squirm or freeze every time I hold your fucking hand.”
Henry’s jaw ticks. “Can we...erm...can we establish some ground rules?” His face is mildly terrified and paler than usual. Good. He should be.
“Ground rules? It's PDA, not the fucking Olympics.” Alex is feeling less optimistic by the second. They’re so fucked.
“Alex, please.” Henry looks pained, and Alex feels only a little bit of pity. It’s not just his job on the line, it’s Henry’s livelihood too.
“Fine. Nothing below the belt, hands where everyone can see them, and no tongue.” For now, his brain adds, like the traitorous bitch it is. “But I’m not going to jail on a goddamn felony charge because you can’t handle being a little handsy. We clear?”
Henry nods, face resolute. “Also, why would they assume it’s you inside me, and not the other way around?”
Alex stares at him, unflinching. “Do you really want me to answer that question, sweetheart?”

experimenting today with layer borders/stroke effects to quickly portray high-detail/texture stuff, like this wip still life of a knitting project...! doing better than past times i've tried this tip, i think
it's not very fast, bc i find i have to rly slow down + be intentional abt my lines or it starts looking pretty artificial (u know all those awful "comic book lines" filters in selfie editing apps + stuff? yeah.) but it's still certainly faster than outlining individual stitches
there's already an INCREDIBLE wealth of very nicely crafted shortcut brushes for this kind of thing in the csp assets store, including specifically for knitting stitches etc! but in my experience a lot of those have a pretty clean/crisp art style, and when ur married to very textured/grungy brushes like me, they end up looking very pasted-in or clip-art-y. :') it's such a shame bc i wish i could use all the great stuff that already exists but usually it just doesn't gel w my stuff. (<-guy who needs to learn how to make my OWN brushes)
A Blind Date with Markiplier keychains are coming very soon!
These fun and flirty keychains will be dropping for pre-ordering Feb. 1st! Each are 3", double-side epoxy, and have a lovely V-day statement on the back!
There are 7 designs in total, with this post only being a sneak peek at a few. Three designs are specials that come with glitter epoxy; while one out of the 3 is a mystery design of someone very special.
Look out for them on my Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DarkmagicSWH?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
Plus, Valentine's Day cards will be returning as well you can order for someone special or just for yourself!
Did you draw your own pfp? If so, how did you color it? Especially the lineart. It's so pretty!
aww thank you! i'm so glad you noticed! yes, i made the pfp myself :)) it's my favorite character of all times ;w; Allen Walker from D. Gray man! here's the full work!
i colored the lineart and changed the layermode to Multiply, i also duplicated the lineart and set it under the Multiply layer then gave it a layermode of Colorburn! this gives it a crispy color in my case (but you can always play around with colors and different layermodes to get the best effect which different from each drawing, in my case it just happened to be this) I like duplicating line arts and changing their colors/layermodes when i play around :))
i used mostly flat colors but added slight hue variations along with a simple shadowing! I only have one value for the shadows but instead of using a single color, i used different colors with the same value to give it a more colorful and lively look:
for example, when i turn everything into black and white, you can see that the fur has only 1 value in terms of shading but in reality i used different colors that have similar values to make it livelier!
Hope this helps! thank you for noticing Allen in my pfp xD he is my angel crying in the bar over the recent manga update
