Thomas didn't always venture to the finer parts of Evermore, usually content with a cool beer and whatever was left over from the Diner. However on some nights when he was feeling especially reminiscent of life with Duchess, or if he simply wanted to torture himself with those memories he would drink at the wine bar-- feeling like it was slightly better than drinking alone in his apartment. A glass of red in front of him, a small bowl of olives and a battered up book that had seen better days, he silently read through it at the bar, shifting only at the sound of someone at the empty chair beside him.

"Sorry sorry--" he mumbled, pulling his elbows in tight to his sides, hoping he wasn't taking up too much room, or looking too pretentious. "Got enough space there pal? I can uh shift down a little if ya' need.."

The moment the invitation slipped from his brother's lips Berlioz felt more trapped than he already was. He didn't know what to say. When was the last time the two of them had spent any time together? If we're both just going to walk away from this and make shitty decisions can we at least do it together? The words echoed over and over and over again in his head. Berlioz had still been trying to process all of Toulouse's words before the sudden invitation. The younger man felt a hole burning in his pocket where there was a small bag of coke he had. It's not like he was going to go to work without it. He needed that instant after shift high. Berlioz swallowed hard as he pieced together what he was going to say. He had enough coke to get him through the awkward hell that this most likely would be for the both of them. All he would have to do is go to the bathroom. That was completely normal. He knew he would have to find an easy escape the moment he stepped foot in Toulouse's apartment. It was kind of scary to think the brothers lived so close together but were so distant from one another. It gave Berli an unsettling feeling. He'd doesn't even remember ever going there. "Fine," he finally spoke, "lead the way."

Not that he'd been doing anything else right now, thankfully, but he could have been and if Peri had shown up and seen something she shouldn't have? That would have been bad...for her. "You're so impatient." Though his tone was one of derision, judgement even, Luis could use that. He wasn't mad that she hadn't been able to follow directions, that could be taught. "Maybe I should leave you out here until you learn how to listen."

who are some people in evermore that have the best smelling blood to you?

❛ in my humble opinion , diablo has some of the best blood in this whole town , especially when he's sober . then again , he is my boyfriend and i don't get intimate with anyone whose blood i don't like . lilo's was always one of my favorites to snack on 'cause it's more flavorful than the average human's and smells good . stitch's blood smells interesting but i'd never try it , out of respect for phyllis ! you know whose blood smells great though ? that duchess lady's and ariel's , but she's a mermaid so i'd proceed with caution . it's my general rule of thumb for non - human blood , like demons or the fae . johnny also smells good , which makes sense considering his vibes . we have a great selection in this town ! ❜

He could not physically refrain from his entire face twisting as the shot coated his tongue, having to blink a couple of times to see clearly as he placed the empty glass on the counter before them. "How do people do this regularly?" He demanded, turning to Judy, whose side he'd been glued to since the moment they entered. Crowds... worried him, and he felt a bit like a child clinging to his mother at the supermarket, afraid to let her out of his sight. "Can't they make it taste decent?" Nick continued, nervous rambling as he waited for it to kick in and hopefully loosen him up a little. "I know there's mixed drinks, but this shit, why does it taste like literal rubbing alcohol? They can't at least add some... berry flavors in there or something? Why do we have to suffer just to get a little buzz? Doesn't make sense."

Vitani knew that, and that was how she wanted it; but it didn't stop her sternum from burning as she stood by the side of the track, watching Tiffany talk to some pretty dark haired girl that had climbed out of one of the other cars. Laughing a little too hard, if you asked her, at something she was too far away from hear. Leaning against one of the emptying bleachers, her smile was tight as the blonde finally approached her. "You looked hot out there." Before she could bite it back, tell herself she was being ridiculous, the second part was slipping out. "So did that girl you've been talking to for the last half hour, but I'm sure you've noticed."

"I...Truly feel like he is a very charming character. And that his story is a lot more complex than I initially thought. I can truly say that he is a man hellbent on revenge and a man that will do what he needs to get the job done. I can truly call him a codfish because he sure can be one sometimes. Despite the added stress of a newborn on the way, Eugene felt relatively light as of recently. Maybe he was being ignorant or throwing caution to the wind but he was enjoying himself and then time he spent like this with rapunzel. Even if Maude had a plan brewing up her sleeve he'd be damn if he let that witch steal an ounce of joy from him during this time. Eugene kept his palm at blondies back as they walked side by side, smiling down at their handful of bags accumulated with new clothes and accessories for the nursery. "Do you think we're going overboard yet? considering we don't even know the gender yet."

Thomas raised an eyebrow at Rapunzel, considering her offer. It was much less stress and work for him to leave the aesthetics of the specials board to someone with actual artistic skills... "I was gonna' make a joke about credentials but everyone in town knows this is right down your street Raps." he smiled. "I would be indebted to ya' if you wanted to do it but you gotta' let me pay you, deal?" Thomas chuckled at her kind words taking a sip of his own coffee. "You're too good for this town y'know that, right?"

Warily watching the animal brush against her leg, Duchess made no move to pet it. She didn't come here often, too worried about finding fur in her muffin, but she'd been thinking... "Do you think I should get a cat?" Attention turned to Rapunzel, she barely gave her time to answer before offering her reasoning. "I don't know if I'm a pet person, but I think I miss having something to take care of, you know? It feels so lonely at home. And I love my plants, but they're not... they're not the same. Am I being too spontaneous?"

They had many more than they'd had back at the manor, but not enough they wanted to push any of them away. Especially not the one friend that was just like them. Rolling to face Phyllis, which was really just spinning in the air as they floated ever-so-slightly above the ground. "Do you ever wish you could sleep?"
