day 6 yes yes y’all it’s evil monk’s turn!!!!!!!!!!!! kuukou king!!!!!!!!! kuukou king!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First impressions: *kuukou tells a horrible tone-deaf dead mom joke to ichiro and i completely lose my sht* LMAO that was terrible and so mean why am i laughing like this— wait wait wait he’s just a side character don’t get attached don’t get attached!!!!!!!!!

Current impressions: *wearing my bat shirt and hoodie cuddling my kuukou plushies surrounded by kuukou fan merch* i swear i only like kuukou a normal amount!!!! i swear!!!!!!

now i have connected similarities to kuukou and my other hypmic oshis and other faves so i can’t be too surprised by how much i just got attached, but it still takes me for a loop that i like kuukou as much as i do!!! he’s so feral and violent and that appeals to me on a spiritual level. but he’s more level headed than most give him credit for. monks take an oath to spend their lives easing/ending human suffering, for all that they understand humans will suffer, and you can see that in how much kuukou cares about the people he’s chosen to support. he’s just got the personality of a massive brat 🤣

Favorite thing:

bruh i love kuukou to pieces but idk if i can pin down one thing i like about him. like i really vibe with how violent he is but his violence isn’t violence for violence sake. he’s obviously strong because he likes to fight but when he fights, it’s to help people out. like he has all this power and knows it, so he does what he can with it. kuukou is such an anime protagonist and the weeb embedded within me crows every time i see him lol

Least favorite:

.................i... guess i’ve never vibed with him telling jyushi men should only cry when they lose a family member. now jyushi wants to cry less and to be stronger so it’s definitely something to strive for. idk if it’s cultural tho so i don’t wanna knock it, but i don’t like how close it feels to repressing the way men express themselves

ah and i almost forgot!! bubblegum asmr!!!! i hate it!!!

What i wanna see from this character:

for ichiro and kuukou to talk to each other again......... to know how they met......... lol aside from naughty busters business, i really wanna see kuukou before he reached ascension. i wanna see bald baby kuukou what kuukou could have possibly done to learn to fight and/or how he got his strength, if there’s any special reason for it. maybe something to do with how he hates the ocean......??

Favorite moment:

when kuukou beat up kurusu ren’s bullies. the way he struck fear into the head bully made my heart go 💕💗 his radio also had some cute moments like when he picked his first mail to read and his giggle when he did!!!! 🥰

Headcanon:

he really likes kabuki plays!!! he used to bother the local kabuki actors as a child to teach him their moves and fell in love with their makeup techniques. it’s why he wears the touch of red on his bottom lash line because he had that much fun with them!!

i like nemu/ichiro/kuukou both romantically and platonically but nemu and kuukou makes me laugh because nemu only bothers tolerating her brother’s violent tendencies because he’s family. i just imagine nemu initially tolerating kuukou because he’s ichiro’s boyfriend but anytime they interact it’s like

kuukou: are you tired of being nice?? don’t you just wanna go apeshit??

nemu: boy, you make me consider violence everyday

they grow to understand each other on a deeper level as they hang out more tho lol
