(pt 1/2) I guess you have a point, not everyone was rioting. However, do you think they should be called victims in every self defense case? You could easily make the same argument for everyone else that night (esp the ones who were rioting), what reason were they there? I haven't seen any evidence for Kyle antagonizing anyone that night. He was offering to protect someone's property and offering first aid, isn't that a good reason to be there? Property has value, some ppls livelihoods
(pt 2) depend on it and I understand wanting to protect your community. Personally I don't see how destroying the property of ppl who have nothing to do with Blake an effective form of protest. I'm confused what you mean, what events happened earlier that night that were relevant? Just wanted to offer a different viewpoint. Have a nice day/ night :)
(pt 3) Forgot to say that reaching for someone's gun is a reaaaally bad idea and should only try it if you're trained to disarm someone and if it rly is reasonable for that situation. I don't see how it was reasonable as he wasn't an active shooter and was fleeing. The person holding the gun would think you are trying to turn it on them or innocent bystanders, which makes self defense reasonable by law. Rosenbaum grabbed his gun after chasing Kyle down, he only shot when there was no other
(pt 4) option. He was trying to flee a mob of ppl chasing him after that, not pointing is gun or threatening amyone. He tripped, and after that Huber hit him over the head with a skateboard and grabbed his gun.
---------------
So, let me start by saying that there is a lot of interpretation to be had over text. To me, it sounds as if you are justifying Kyle murdering two individuals.
First off, it is not his property or his community. And his first aid excuse is bullshit. Does that mean next time I want to offer my first aid skills, I get to cross state lines and pick up an ar-15? When my city went through a riot (though, it really was just some minor property damage), I was present but I did not engage or offer "first aid" because I know how to mind my own business and I had enough sense to not enter into unfamiliar territory.
Do I approve of destroying property? No. But I care less and less about that when all summer long, all right wing news media focused on was damaged property and made it seem as if this was a common occurrence. Especially when you realize that a lot of the riots and violence were instigated by people who didn't come for the right reasons.
There have been instances of police planting things among protests and instigating riots and violence. We don't know how it started, we don't have the details because we weren't there. We don't know if it was peaceful, or if cops stirred things up. We don't know.
I'd say reaching for someone's gun after they've killed someone is very reasonable. He admits to killing someone and then he shot someone else, even though that person had their hands up. Kyle Rittenhouse entered into something he had no right to be a part of. He was inexperienced and it shows. Next time someone threatens me and throws a plastic bag at me, I'll be sure to do something about it.
He lied about his age in regards to possessing his weapon, he lied about the medical experience he had(did NOT have). He poses with a group of Proud Boys and I'm supposed to sympathize with this clown???
His mom is guilty for driving him across state lines and endangering her kid. His friend is guilty for giving him a weapon. He is guilty for murdering people.
