So excited for this!! Can i ask how naming goes? Are there rules to follow or naming taboos?

Is there an activity check of sorts? How long is one day in this rp? is it 1 day = 1 irl day? Sorry for all the questions! just so curious!

Ah, very happy to answer any questions anyone might have!

The naming system is actually a little up in the air. It was going to be a question on the member application, since we have three options:

1. Standard - Coldfrost.

2. Ancient - Cold Frost.

3. The Trinity Unique Naming System TM - Cold of Frost.

The third is meant to mimic the “O’-“ and “Mac-“ in many Irish last names. Names like Hawk of Sky, Rabbit of Brown, Song of Bell, that kind of thing. It originally had a family legacy name system, where the kit would take either the suffix of one of their parents, blend the two (like the kit of Fox of Snow and Wind of Storm taking the suffix Blizzard, a snow storm), or take their own suffix to show what they want to strive for. To take the last name of someone important to you or multiple cats is to show you want to honor them as a warrior. To create your own is to disrespect your family, but sometimes they deserve it. Sometimes you think you can rise above their standards.

Whisper Fate is using the ancient form with the suffix Fate for her leadership title. She would be Whisperfate in the standard form and Whisper of Fate in the Trinity form.

Naming taboos are going to be any word that is especially unpleasant that you wouldn’t name your child — dirt, rot, maggot, etc. — as well as Star, Moon, Life, and either of the clan suffixes. Both clans have preferred suffixes and prefixes that will be covered more later!

Activity checks will require that characters participate in at least one thread per moon. One moon passes every month. One day passes every day and one season passes every three months. The thread can be started any time of the moon but must be completed within a week and can not take place earlier in the moon. (As a note, because we are semi-lit to literate, our minimum sentence requirement for each post is 4.) We will also have open camp threads every week for each clan that allow free-posting and reset on Sunday, but these do not count towards your required thread. This is subject to change!
