oh my god. she is so cool and so interesting and so dumb and such a fucking Weirdo. shes such a fascinating character and i cannot wait to learn more about her. i fucking Love it when superpowerful characters are genuinely given trouble by complete normies, Just because they Happen to be flailing around in the exact way that they cant deal with them.
zora is just... a smug hypocrite that happens to be able to back up most of what shes saying. its very interesting. another to study under a microscope. also that character design??? LITERALLY peak. i will never be over how cool she looks. also her voice actor did such a FANTASTIC performance with her. absolutely superb.

oh MAN that ones so hard. she has so many standout moments throughout her entire appearance! though i really have to hand it to the forest chase scene in specific for just. the sheer silly antics. it was just fun all the way through! zoras the type of character where it Is very fun watching her in her element... but also i wanna see her genuinely be caught off guard by something completely dumb. and that scene is exactly that!
also special shoutout to “cowboy :)” “You Got It Buddy!” and the entirety of great at cowboy. hearing that for th first time was So hype.

hmmm... honestly, i cant really think of anything terribly creative! i would Love to see just... more of her being petty and silly though. love that part about her so much. maybe some shenanigans between th blisstrio being dorks together.

i totally understand that there are Not a lot of characters you Can ship, and a Lot of people heavy focus shipping in fandom, its just. <:/ it just doesnt feel Right to her character to me. any of theirs.

honestly, the dynamic between the redwood trio was IMMENSELY fun to watch, again, its the “wildly outmatched characters hold their own against overpowered adversary through sharp wit and dumb luck alone.” also zora being genuinely caught off guard by percy’s... percyisms... its Very fun to watch-- especially when she goes along with it. zora is one of the most fun characters to watch go along with the genre, despite her Scary Bounty Hunter thing.

its not my headcanon, but i absolutely Adore the headcanon that zora plays around with her guns as a stim. like.. spinning and tossing em, clicking the mechanics... shes so skilled and comfortable with em that she just. swings em around for emphasis. and for funsies. genuinely cannot think of her any other way.

Hi jello! First off, I adore epithet erased, so thank you!!! Second off, for the characters, have you decided if any of them are LGBTQ+? How do you feel about the LGBT headcanons?(ie Giovanni is trans, literally anything involving percy and zora lol) Anyway, thank you for this wonderful show and these fantastic characters! Okay yeah, I’ll tackle this exceedingly dangerous question.
AUs and “what-if”s I don’t mind because I think those are interesting explorations of what would change in a story if specific aspects of a character (in this case sexuality/gender) were different. I think that’s neat, and it poses interesting questions without ignoring the original text of the work.
A headcanon, to me, is somebody saying “Yeah, I’m just going to go ahead and cherry-pick only the bits of canon that I want to be true while ignoring the work as a whole.” That creates a bad reading. I hate it when people do this regardless of whether it’s my work or not
That’s not to say that headcanons are never a good call, but when it comes to character sexuality and gender, I always think it’s weird to mentally assign someone a sexuality or gender that they canonically aren’t. It feels weird and regressive to me. You don’t get to decide what you want a character’s gender or sexuality. The character does. I’ve gotten flak for this stance before, but I think “headcanoning” any character as any sexuality they aren’t is equally weird, no matter which way you do it. It’s weird to think of a straight character as bi, a bi character as gay, a gay character as ace, an ace character as straight, etc. All bad.
On the subject of Epithet though:
Something like Zora x Percy I don’t mind too much. It’s mostly harmless.
Zora is canonically bisexual and I write Percy as ace (maybe aro too? I’d have to talk to her original player about that).
Because Percy is ace nothing sexual would ever happen between her and Zora.
Because of their position in the story and who they are as people Percy would never be interested pursuing a friendship with Zora, let alone a romantic relationship with her.
I know what kind of girls Zora is into and it ain’t Percy.
But! I can see—in an AU— some of those comics of Zora flirting with Percy at a bar actually happening, and I think they’re pretty cute.
Molly being non-binary is one I see a lot. That one’s also harmless. There’s nothing in the text to counter it, so okay that’s fair game.
Giovanni being trans though.
Uh.
Kinda hate that one, if I’m being honest!
Not because I don’t want trans representation, but specifically because of the reason I saw people making Trans Giovanni their “headcanon”, which was: “Giovanni likes feminine things! He crafts and cooks and has motherly traits! I bet he was assigned-female at birth!”
SUPER weird, regressive, and sexist take there, guys!
Giovanni is a cis male. The whole point of Giovanni is that he’s a teenage boy who is comfortable and open with his own femininity, which is something I wish I saw more in media. He’s emotionally intelligent. He wants people to talk about their feelings. He paints his nails. He’s the team mom. He’s a guy, and he’s cool with all of that. He’s not “secretly trans because he has traditionally feminine traits”. What? What even?
I dunno that’s just bothered me since day one.

heads up the creator of ee is like. really weird abt hcs. like he doesnt like trans or gay headcanons and the only characters he is "comfortable" with being seen as lgbt are zora (bi) and percy (ace gnc) and he sometimes goes on like. actual rants about it
I follow Jello! I know exactly what he says about hcs.
Here’s the thing: I understand where Jello is coming from in how he writes his own series. Even if its not exactly what I would do if I were in that situation. It’s a rough situation to be in! He’s said some things that I don’t agree with, but its clear that he is trying to put a lot of effort and thought into making canon LGBT characters. If the downside to that is him not saying All Interpretations And Headcanons Are Valid then so be it.
TBH. I am concerned about how a certain character is going to be handled in the future. Specifically in relation to LGBT issues. But what I’m concerned about is how her story will be handled in the actual show. If what I think is going to happen happens, handled carelessly it could make almost every character in the series look Really, Really Bad, and the show itself could look that way too. And Jello’s said about the same thing on the subject. But I’d rather try to discuss that in private and gain some insight into how the situation is being handled over preemptively be like “Cancel EE!!” before seeing the end result.
Because that’s the difference!
I’ve been into series with creators who were bad people, who have said things that were intentionally hateful and hurt a lot of fans by just not giving a shit about the repercussions of what they say. And I don’t really think its appropriate to compare that kind of shitty behavior to someone who Has Opinions On His Own Characters That You Don’t Agree With, has explained clearly why he feels the way he does, and has talked at length about his efforts to have real representation in his characters and who play them as if they were equivalent issues.

Ideas for gay Zora moments with Jane’s purr girl? Sorry that’s self-indulgent but sjdjfn. Oh alternatively! Some of vane’s favorite Ramsey moments, cuz I know she likes him :3c
Gay Zora moments!!! I really like the idea of them going on a sweet date together to a cute cafe or something, maybe even a cat cafe and all the cats gravitate towards zora and meow a bunch and she gets comedically more and more covered with cats as the scene progresses. and maybe there’s a point where zora gets scared cause purr girl got kidnapped by farris or attempted kidnapped by bliss ocean, and she just shows up and sees purr girl okay and is just so relieved and hugs her super tight. also i think if there’s ever a cute epilogue that zora should get smooched by purr girl and get kinda shy about it. oh and as soon as zora kisses purr girl for the first time, purr girl absolutely just melts dfjgbj it’ll be super cute.
fav ramsey moments though.... damn that’s really hard dfjhgbjh he’s just such a fun character. I repeat “am I having an aneurysm, what is happening!?” on a daily basis djhfbghj. also:
“hey! don’t move! i got crayons!”
“never say those words ever again!”
“cops like cops, that’s why they’re always refusing to prosecute each other!”

well hello there… i see my title has caught your eye… -u-
introductions first: hiya! i’m tea (like the beverage), i’m in my early 20’s, and i live in midwestern USA so my timezone is central. i roleplay exclusively through email. i’ve tried other mediums and they just don’t stick for me. there will be an ooc thread for plotting/planning/talking and an rp thread for the actual roleplay. god i hope this looks okay because it NEVER formats well after i submit it and can be grueling to read when it’s a long ad like this.
for the rp itself, well. i’m looking for a small array of things, so i figured i’d make an ad as a catch-all instead of doing something like one ad per request. i will only do oc/oc romance, btw! the only exception to this is one fandom, which i will specify when i get to it.
i’m currently looking to roleplay something in these veins: fallout, percy jackson, story of seasons/harvest moon, avatar: the last airbender/legend of korra, and original (supernatural/demons/generic spooky things). read on if you want to know more.
style;

☆past tense.
☆novel or multi-paragraph; i can snap out four paragraphs or 20, usually novel but like i can work w/ anything.
☆good handle on grammar, maybe some spelling errors if i’m responding from my phone. i’m very relaxed with typing OOC as u can tell but i go all out with actual writing, don’t worry.
characters;
☆varied in personality and backstory, i usually make new ones for rps but sometimes a character sticks with me.
☆i can handle various roles at once; side characters or recurring roles aside from mains are welcome.

☆i don’t use FC’s and prefer written descriptions, but i’m a hoe for pinterest and moodboards and use that for character references.

this one is the loosest i’ve got. i love small town horror vibes — think NiTW or OTGW. i prefer horror-comedy or like, quirky horror romcom stuff, so i’m not looking for anything genuinely frightening (but that could be so fun too). think a dude accidentally summoning a demon, someone accidentally selling their soul, some people investigating mysterious supernatural happenings in their town, stuff like that. any and everything is good, my options are beyond open. also in general i prefer human/non-human pairings, so anything along those lines in a setting like this will work. werewolves, demons, vampires, witches, send them all my way.
