You know, thinking about The Sun, The Moon, and the Stars, about the storyline but more importantly about the characters, about Ahkmenrah, Ammon, and Akil

I never finished got around to writing much in that series. I don’t even remember what happened with it. Probably just got overwhelmed with too many ideas and burnt out before I could really get started knowing me.

But! I adored those characters so much, and their relationship with one another, that the spirit of them still lives on in my novel. Ammon and Akil even have the same names. Ammon is now married to Jahi, though, and they have a young daughter named Masika Brooke.

Anyways, the point of this was that I thought about doing a little post talking about this small family, who I lifted from an old series that never got anywhere.

Also to just point out that although some things don’t always turn out the way you expect, sometimes the pieces left behind can be used to make something better.

#ravenpuff writes #beauty and the mermaid #the sun the moon and the stars #leo rivera #now they have two stars and isn’t that adorable?#i still think of the family by that name #there’s no doubt in my mind that Ammon calls Jahi his moon and Jahi calls Ammon his son #and that they both call Akil and Masika their precious stars #i should do a post about this family just for myself if nothing else I love them #but also to anyone who liked that series I hope you can appreciate them #Leo (Akil) still has his assorted group of aunts and uncles from across the world #his Uncle Larry who he used to stay with during the school year while his dads traveled #his Aunt Tilly and her boyfriend everyone just calls Laa who live in England and come to visit often.#His uncles Jed and Tavi who his dads introduced and fight like cats and dogs #they’re those teachers at school everyone assumes hate each other but they’re actually married #yes Jed wears a cowboy hat/boots still he’s very southern even after living in New York for a few years #He has an uncle Lance who is an actor that Jahi met and befriend whilst he was playing Sir Lancelot in Camelot (the musical)#you get the idea basically everyone is there but also not there #None of this probably comes up btw this is all just for me #what does almost certainly come up is the fact that Jahi and Ammon travel frequently across the world #an archeologist and antropolgist who fell in love the moment they met and now follow each other to the ends of the earth #and who… hold in their souls the belief (the truth?) that they have walked this earth with each other before #and will continue to do so over and over. hopefully now with Akil and Masika by their sides #but it’s why the two of them talk about history the way they do. know things perhaps they shouldn’t. how they know #so much about a place they have never visited in this lifetime. because once #before they had walked those streets together #anywyas I adore this family it has nothing to do with the story but I love them #Ahk never got the appreciation he deserved. But in another life Jahi gets everything and more
