Chill ((Kore x Trollex Fic))
Words: 1105
Fandom: Trolls (World Tour)
----
Kore woke up with a tired groan, wincing as their head pounded violently the moment they sat up, gripping the soft fabric of their comforter and their teeth clenched in mild pain. Throwing their comforter off to the side, the drowsy folk troll let out a tired, stressed yawn, stretching and cracking their joints so they can release some already placed in stress. And with a small , distasteful 'ugh', they lifted themselves off the cool comfort of their bed, and into the hot and damp air, their wings giving off a flicker as if they detest it.
As they sluggishly walked out of their room, a blinding light welcomed their poor, unadjusted eyes, causing them to groan out in discomfort. It would appear that the blinds were left open the night before. A deep growl rumbled against the folk trolls' chest, prompting them to head towards the quiet corner of the pantry, where for some reason, a tea kettle had already been filled and still hot. Kore looks on with a blank expression, an eyebrow inching upward curiously as they stare dumbfounded.
But in only a minute, the folk troll just let out a shrug, opting to make themselves a cup of tea while they're at it. Slumping down on one of their couches, Kore lets out a relief  sigh as they take a sip of their lavender flavor tea, taking in the sweet aroma and warm taste.
"Oh, why hello sunshine-" The folk troll let out a startled yelp, some droplets of their tea escaping the hold of the mug, spilling onto the carpet floor, leaving behind a stained purplish color that contracted with the yellow hued carpet.
Kore darted to the direction towards the other side of the couch; Sitting there with a started expression was Trollex, who had his signature set of aquatic headphones on (one of which were placed above their ear), with a laptop sitting, quite hazardly, on the cushions of the couch, as Kore's pet moth rested comfortably in his lap.
The folk troll composed themselves, letting out a soft, relief sigh as they placed their mug down on the coffee table, and resting their head in their palms. It seemed that they forgot that the techno king stayed over for the night to work on a new song in peace.
How they feel so fucking dumb
"Babe, I'm-"
"No, no, it's not you. ugh I feel so out of it, and it's only morning.."
The mertroll gave them a nervous smile, fiddling with his fingers for a brief moment as the folk troll stared at him curiously.
"Actually..It's four in the evening..You kind of almost slept through the whole day." At this notion, Kore blinked a couple of times before letting out a long, distressed groan as they covered their head with a couch pillow.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE I wasted half my time sleeping!!!"
"Welllll, you definitely needed it, I guess?" Trollex drawled, rubbing the back of his head. Kore uncovered their head in rapid speed, narrowing their eyes at the techno troll.
"What do you mean needed??? Lexi, I could've had a productive day! I could've painted, I could've went shopping, I could've.." Kore paused as they tried to think of something else, earning a flat, inched unibrow expression from Trollex. "..Well, I've could've done something!"
"Kore, honey, one of the lights of my life, in case you haven't noticed, you been working non-stop at work AND on your paintings, heck, I've caught you falling asleep in your painting office FOUR times this week!" The king let out a sigh, trying to think of something else. "Sometimes you just need to take a break, and maybe you need to sleep to your heart content, even IF it might mess up your sleeping schedule a bit.."
Kore solemnly looked down, rubbing their arms as the heaviness in their eyes raised.
“I guess, you have a point. But I just feel so..empty if I don't do anything that has something to do with productivity.." The folk troll sighed out, closing their eyes. That's when they felt finger tips grazing their cheek, cupping it as a finger nodge their head upward. The folk trolls' eyes sparkled as they opened their eyes to meet the techno kings' soft gaze, with a smile so warm that it made their heart flutter.
"Love, you work so hard and, believe it or not, a lot of trolls both admire and worry about you for it. So trust me when I say 'Hey, you deserve this break, so take it easy and chill out , with me if you like, for the rest of the day'!" Kore raised an eyebrow at the techno troll, who gleaned at them with a wide smile.
“Is that your way of saying ‘I would like to cuddle with you’ Mr.Trollexander??” they chuckled, his eyes narrowing down at them in a flirtatious fashion, his unibrow doing a little wiggle that the folk troll both enjoyed and despised.
“Maybe..~ But still, I think you should relax for the rest of the day.” The folk troll hummed out in thought, subconsciously reaching for their mug of tea.
 “Maybe..~”
“Pleaaase??? <: (“ The techno troll whined, his eyes shifting into puppy-dog mode, and clasping his hands together.
The folk troll furrowed their eyebrows in amusement as they played a small game of ‘hard to get’, taking a long sip of their tea, watching the techno troll grow impatient the longer they didn’t answer.
“How far are you on your latest song?” The techno troll perked up, proudly puffing out his chest as he picked his clam-shaped laptop up.
“It’s almost done. I just need someone to give it a listen..”
“You want me to give it a listen??” Kore asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Well, if you insist..” Trollex gave the folk troll a wink, causing them to raise their eyebrow higher. “Okay, yes, but no feedback! I just want you to listen, that’s all!”
The folk troll sighed and nodded their head, letting out a giggle as Trollex swiftly handed over his headphones.
 “So, what’s the song about?”
The mertroll hummed. “I’m not quite sure yet, it’s still in it’s lyricless phase, that’s what I meant by ‘almost’.”
The folk troll let out a small ‘ah’, nodding in understanding. Then, as the techno troll played the wordless song, the sounds of soft beats and smooth synthesizer sounds brought music to their ears. It had a serene feeling to it, a calm but joyful melody joining together to make a fusion of art.
Clearly this would be another one of Trollexs’ many masterpieces...
