— ALTERNATE UNIVERSE, JUJUTSU KAISEN.

version one: kogami is a jujutsu sorcerer with an enigmatic past that serves as a teacher in tokyo jujutsu high, being surviving alumni of the former. he aligns himself with the tokyo no. 1 colony at the start of the culling game.

version two: kogami is a fugitive after committing a murder against a highly valuable member of the jujutsu world. he only returns in the chaos of the culling game, if only to help his former allies restore order. he aligns himself with the tokyo no. 1 colony.

cursed technique: in which kogami has manipulation over smoke, especially his cigarette smoke ( which is the primary source of it. ). he can absorb smoke from other sources as well.

any surface or person that his smoke touches his susceptible to his abilities which include:

burning damage over time

asphyxiation if breathed in

other abilities include:

smoke solidification ( in which he can make structures or projectiles out of them )

smoke attacks ( an extension of the above, only that he weaponizes them )

smoke augmentation ( in which his melee attacks or otherwise are strengthened by his smoke. This is used most often. )

limited typhomancy

domain expansion: the gazing abyss

kogami and his target enter a black, misty space, best described as an abyss where he can control air density for the target and himself as well as the ground beneath them. he can suffocate his target, whether by means of having them pulled down into the murky waters they stand above, or by means of asphyxiation with the way he controls air density (though this puts himself at risk, too) powers up his abilities significantly.

he doesn’t like his technique much, and doesn’t use it often unless he has to, more often using force to get his way. It may also be worth noting that his ability doesn’t work on steam / water vapor juul pods.
