I have had a PERFECT day.

I baked pain au chocolat and cinnamon swirls for my husband (and had success! Which is abnormal for me because fuck pastry) and we had a lovely breakfast and exchanged presents. Then we watched some more skating! I got to wear my new velvet dress which I absolutely adore in spite of it being clingy and that means I theoretically ;should; hate it, but it’s the best and I also had really great make up today.

We went and bought video games, went to the chocolate cafe where I ate all the sugar in the world, then finally on to PERILOUS POTIONS, the hp themed pop up bar. Where your drinks come in test tubes for you to mix at the table and make your own cocktails following the instructions on the scroll. It is the BEST. They bring you the text book for you to choose which recipe you want to make. It’s so good. I’m going back again next week with my other partner and again in April with another friend too when she visits.

And all through the day we’ve had lovely chats about love and life and how everything is and it’s just been absolutely magical. Valentine’s Day is a made up holiday but I love love and it’s a great excuse to spend time together doing things that make us happy.
