#well...if the run is successful and i'm accompanied with great sync pairs anyway

Last week’s CSMM post had really weird formatting, even though it looks fine on mobile, and I was too tired to rewrite it. Anyway, 10k runs for last and this week. Managed to finish this week’s run in my break time. I revisited some sync pairs that I rarely used for a while, namely Diantha and BP Zinnia.
My Diantha is 2/5, and she didn’t get much other than some sync nodes, trainer move MPR, and low MGR chance that basically never happens. Despite having Hit the Gas 5, I find Diantha to be much more difficult to use than OG Emmet, because of her low speed which demanded speed and gauge support, and someone to top off her buff. She also wanted to sync first because of Mega Evolve+Fairy Power 5, and her sync was nerfed because of it. I remembered having a hard time against Fairy-weak Marshal with Diantha, so I decided to go with Palentine Serena instead.
Once Diantha’s problems got taken care of, she could finally dish out great damage. So I brought SS Morty and Lucian, for speed support, infinite gauge, and Sp. Def debuffs as well as Attack debuffs. Finally, a team that could solve Diantha’s gauge issues that didn’t involve Ingo or Skyla! I had fun with this team. Mega-Evolve Gardevoir backed with SS Morty’s EX support could one-shot sides with no worries. She only has +5 Sp. Atk because MPR didn’t proc, but that’s okay. She still hit hard anyway. Also, Lucian and SS Morty are great, but I don’t think it needs to be said.
I remembered when BP Zinnia was the one I went for dragon-type striker before I got Cyrus. Even though her sync nuke was difficult to set up since it scaled from Flinch, I could forego that and went to DPS build (with or without Harry), and she dealt really great damage, especially when backed with EX support. And even if there’s no EX support, she still dealt really good damage. She also had great survivability, and still pretty fun to use. OG Zinnia is probably more powerful, but I’m more comfortable with BP Zinnia.
I didn’t wanna deal with Karen’s evasion stuff so I brought Classic Red to end the match quickly. Permanent field effect basically asked either OG Ingo or Halloween Caitlin, and I decided to go with the former because OG Ingo’s capability to delete any gauge needs is still invaluable. Koga missed all of his crit in his sync, which was super annoying, and SS Leaf even needed multiple attempts to land her Toxic, but that’s okay. I probably should alternate between Koga and Allister for my Poison-type attacker.
