this may come off as just a little bit harsh but i would like to slam a brick against the head of whoever decided soundcloud should not ONLY have 30sec-long ads between songs for non-premium users, but ALSO make them as sonically unpleasant as humanly imaginable.

like yeah you're right i DON'T want to have loud toothbrushing and gargling ASMR blasted directly into my ears at 150% the volume of the song i was just listening to. you may think "great! now pay us for premium and we'll remove the worst audio ads you've ever heard :)" but literally all that makes me want to do is immediately close your app and find whatever alternative methods i can to never give you my money again

#not to MENTION they claim that paying for Go+ or whatever 'directly supports your favourite artists'#which is just like. a flat out lie #weirdly enough there are actual big name musicians who have their stuff on soundcloud for streaming just like spotify or w/e #and you can only listen to their stuff on there if you have a premium plan #BUT if you're a normal indie musician? like all the chiptune and FM artists i specifically go on that site/app to listen to?#afaik they don't earn a single penny #in fact they actually have to PAY to upload their stuff to the site past a certain point. which is why most of them just have multiple acct #anyways this got a lot more specific about my particular grievances with soundcloud so it's good i left it in the tags #but yeah anyways #the toothbrushing ad was a real thing and i actually pulled my earbuds out in revulsion because it was so bad #fucking evil is what that is #buny text #webbed site
