"Ah? How many Alters are there now?"
The Shieldbearer looks rather stunned at the turn of events and admittedly he wasn't counting himself amongst them

confiteorims asked:
“You shouldn’t judge people by how they look.” / from Bors to Galahad Alter (ofglories)
“I am sure they are judging me just as much as I am them.” the Shield Knight teases as he pushes his bangs out of his face revealing his golden eyes in full. “Either way it takes a scoundrel to know a scoundrel.” he laughs.
He knows Bors will figure out what’s wrong with him in due time.  He was livelier than he ever was when he was alive but the only thing he hated about his status as an Alter Servant was the outright disgraceful way he lived. Back then he was running on impulse never once caring to bridge that yawning gulf between him and his fellow Knights of the Round and now here he was free of the restrains that being a Grail Knight imposed upon him.
The light in his eyes were gone but a fire burned regardless. Galahad truly was living for himself for once he was human and he was grateful for it.

In regards to Galahad Alter and his main verse:
He is still Shielder in a sense, or at least a version of Shielder who now saw no point in treating the affairs of man as a non-issue for as long as he has. He has realized his folly far too late and his bond with Mashu Kyrielight was severed upon the resolution of the Human Order Incineration Incident.  Mashu was rendered human and he was set adrift after the fact.
A stubborn man as he is Galahad at first refused to believe that he himself had caused so many problems and that those who he painted as villains specifically the Master of Chaldea were anything but. He also realized that he had thoroughly blinded himself to the affairs of the world as a ‘paragon among paragons’ and he in turn hates himself for it. He also holds deep loathing for living his life on just a force of habit thinking living in such a manner is not even being alive. He also refers to himself as the biggest fool for not even having a desire to call his own
Now in a much older body of his own the knight is made to wander jumping from Lostbelt to Lostbelt in an attempt to find the Chaldea remnants and reunite with his ward.  His role at that point is not too dissimilar to that of the Chaldean even if his first instinct is to want to take his shield to the man’s head.
Note: As an Alter he falls into the same hedonistic trappings as his Requiem counterpart being self-indulgent to no ends whether it’s through food, drink or the company of men or women. Whereas his younger self is such a perfect paragon to the point that it alienated himself from his fellow knights and in turn the world itself Galahad Alter does try to do the right thing his status be damned
About his armaments:  He has still the ability to wield his holy shield known as the Around Round Shield and use the Noble Phantasm, Lord Camelot but due to his strange circumstances he can act as a Saber and can wield the Sword of Strange Hangings, the very same blade used by King David. Out of instinct or just out of bad habit he uses the former even when he really shouldn’t

 -continued from here-
“So the plan is just a reunion I see.”  he laughs. “Of course it is, I would’ve been dead if I wasn’t who I am.  I just got a new outlook on life is all.”  Around Round Shield’s defense mechanism would’ve triggered if anyone but a chosen few grabbed a hold of it.
“I’ve changed, not sure if it was for the better but I’ve changed.”  He seemed rather shy about the fact he was drastically different from his judgmental and aloof  younger self

//fun fact about my muse for Galahad Alter:  His hair is always consistently soft and fluffy despite him getting consistently coated in gunk, ooze and viscera. And he appreciates anyone helping him get it out of the way if not trimming it so it won’t get too long.
