Thinking about how The Newsreader S2 will start apparently in July 1987, after The Newsreader S1 finished in April 1986, and a year of things will have happened???

Sorry I dislike time jumps so it’ll be like, of course Helen and Dale as newsreaders are successful (look at them) but it’ll be a shame to not see a year of all the characters’ changes and relationships. What has happened with Dale and his confusion, has he just focused on his work? Did Helen’s dad die? Have Noelene and Rob been dating? What’s happened with Tim and Dale? Why is Geoff still alive?

Too many questions. I hope they’ll find a way to answer them all of course, it’s a great show so I believe they’d pull it off and have done this for a reason. I just dislike when we miss out on significant things in the lies of characters I love. I guess the things that are left out will be filled by fic!
