#potc awe#BOY!!#i am LIVING#i used to watch this movie AT LEAST once a week#haven't watched it in at least 6 years now i'd say#watched the black pearl and dead mans chest first and i was chomping at the bit to get to the third#has always been my favorite#i am fucking seething screaming throwing up at how well these movies were made#the call backs? the humor but it doesn't undercut the serious moments?#the costumes? the cgi which still holds up 20 years later? the story lines?!#i'm not gonna say theyre perfect - not by a long shot#the racism in the pelegostos storyline as well as casual racism in character portayals is nasty#as well as johnny depp def leaving a foul taste. can't watch it without thinking about the man behind the character#but just fuck the nostalgia combined with the over all vibes?!#theyre a product of their time but fuck they will always have a special place in my heart#potc#the black pearl#dead man's chest#at worlds end#we don't speak about the other 2
