WOH ep 26 and 27 Reaction

I like a minute in and I have to scream.

Okay, WAIT. So WKX has that dream he described, then wakes up and says why does ZZS’s Dream Drug make me have that dream, and it shows the incense. So..this is the drug that ZZS is using to help him sleep, right? There’s not really a reason for WKX to use it. So why is he dosed by it? CAUSE HE’S SLEEPING IN HIS BED THAT’S WHY.

Okay. Let me have this.

ZZS says “Aren’t you my servant?” to WKX with the smuggest expression and all I can think of is @pumpkinpaix‘s brilliant d/s fic. Seriously I still say they are very much in a honeymoon place RN. Let me enjoy it while I can I know pain is coming.

Don’t you want to talk and drink he says. That’s code...and of course he’s fucking leaving. Sigh. I’m going immediately into ep 27

Okay, so I’m riveted by the confrontation between YBY and ZZS but also now I’m have all these emotions. He says he’s just protecting his shidi and he failed to do that before and now I’m having shidi feelings dammit. Ah! Even the no-homo cover story is moving!

😭😭😭😭😭😭 I just can’t. Like it’s a relief, I guess, having that over with, but they are just! So! I am incoherent.

Okay, so, let’s talk about Zhao Jing and Mr. Scorpy. (I know his name is Xie, but thanks to the subs never calling him anything but “Scorpion” that’s pretty much it.) I’m glad we’re all simping for him. Like this show just can’t give us one or two sympathetic villains. No we get the actual bad guy(ish) becoming super sympathetic. Please please let him be the one who kills Zhao. Like he’s not an idiot. I really appreciate that he can see through the manipulations while they are happening. He may not be sure, he may not be decided, but he can spot when Zhao is ready to turn on him, as soon as he isn’t convenient.

Seriously, we need someone to scoop him up and rehabilitate him. Unfortunately we’re running light on in-canon candidates. I want to ship him with someone, dammit.

Oh and finally, like WKX really doesn’t know what the rest of the ghosts were up to. He has No Idea? DUDE were you THAT distracted by ZZS? Don’t answer that. I really thought he was masterminding and at least realized after the fact...sigh, ZZS really is the big brain one here, huh?

God I’m spoiled and I HATE all the foreshadowing here.

Oh and if you’re wondering post the confrontation with YBY they have not YET returned to sleeping together because they still haven’t fully healed/recovered from the emotional turmoil.
