The Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles was designed by Frank Gehry and opened on October 24th 2003. Walt Disney’s widow, Lillian made an initial gift of $50 million in 1987 to build the performance venue. It was completed in 2003 for an estimated $274 million.
