Fun thing about cleaning my room is I’ll find something I was using like a week ago buried deep under my bed in a pile of old receipts and candy wrappers and then also find something I haven’t seen in MONTHS like right there sitting exposed on the floor
#don’t understand this#Im so close to getting this room the most organized that it’s been since I moved in a year ago#but i gotta clean the junk out from underneath my bed and somehow that’s worse than everything else I’ve done#all motivation i had last week as disappeared this week#but i got a new shelf set up to put stuff that was laying around the floor on#i got my books all neatly lined up on the bookshelf I’ve had for months but had only put random junk on instead#got my earrings all sorted and put away except the ones missing their twin#which are set aside until they are matched#finally hung up my whiteboard calendar and got the dates down#not that I have anything going on I really need a calendar for lmao#but It’s magnetic so i departed it with some magnets and now I actually have some decoration in here aside from my eras poster#all my clothes are organized and anything I don’t wear is put in bins for me to shove against the wall#until they can hopefully one day be put in storage#for me to have when I hopefully one day move out and actually have use for party clothes#after a whole year of being in this room it actually feels lived in rather than just a storage room with a futon#It’s still half a storage room but it’s also now half me#unfortunately my shelf is cheap and the hooks can’t bare the weight of my jackets even with gorilla tape#so this weekend I gotta try to figure out what to do about that#need something stronger to support the weight#or maybe just more gorilla tape lol#anyways not that anyone is reading this but it is 3am and I can’t sleep so I decided to clean#but i think I’m just gonna read#or maybe play the sims#or maybe continúe to sit ln the floor mindlessly scrolling through tumblr

I just got myself an early christmas present in the form of The Great Wave Lego wall art piece and I built it and it's amazing and beautiful and perfect and I love it so much
#noopa rambles#I put it on top of my bookshelf#and moved my whale art print on the wall next to it#said print used to be on the spot where the lego piece went so it had to be moved#I wish the print was a tiny bit closer to the wave but sadly there's a pre-existing hook on my wall#so I can't exactly put the print there in any other position bc the hook would be in the way#then I was like 'lemme put all my nautical decorations around it to fill a few empty spaces at the edges'#and ngl I ended up cackling bc I didn't even put a single compass there before it was full#I have so much nautical shit and I'm Living for it#I put my little spyglass there and I put my little lighthouse lanter in there#I already had my japanese diplomatical ship wooden 3D-puzzle up there#and let me tell you. the ship fits the vibes of the painting perrrrfectly#and then I put a littel book my mom made me that has a plants-meets-nautical theme#despite all these things I still somehow have three compasses and some other nicknacks around#I simply do not want to overcrowd the shelf#so the compasses can just keep living on my lotr shelf bc they designated Adventure#and one of them has not all those who wander are lost engraved on the lid so jfdjfd#it clearly belongs there and this way all three can hang out#the only thing I really need now is a globe#the lego set was so frigging expensive but it was on sale at my local toy store so I went yolo

Quick question for the homies who have a bookshelf to display their kpop albums and/or mangas and figures, what kind of method or style do you like?
#rn everything is mostly being put up like a regular bookshelf for the mangas and books and the albums are kinda going horizontal & vertical#it’s mostly dependant on the size of the albums or the actual shelf part cuz I got the billy bookcase so it’s not all evenly spaced apart#the very top is big enough to fit my largest albums & lightstick and I was thinking of maybe realigning it once I got the short bookcase#tho that might have to wait a bit until I spontaneously rearrange my room after the new year starts#and maybe clean out my closet and put the few things in my wardrobe in there so I could dismantle it and put it in storage#cuz honestly living with 2 closet spaces since 2016/2017 for 1 room that wasn’t being shared between me and my sister is not the best idea#my dad had at the time cuz that closet is pretty much the section for work clothes now 💀💀#and the closet only has maybe 25% space used on the hanger since I did put some of the other clothes away in a fabric storage thingy#which is where I mostly stuck the pants/shorts/skirts I couldn’t hang up#but yeah back to the book case cuz now that I’m 23 I wanna commit to my idea of expanding the virgin corner into the virgin wall lmao#maybe ask my dad if we could hook up the extra tv we have once the vision came to be#so yeah dk y’all have a certain way of displaying especially if you have an album or book cover you really liked?#or how you also might place some figures and acrylics cuz I just feel like idk what I’m doing even if I do look at other people’s set up#or even shelf arrangement cuz my friend said it was an adhd nightmare to find something when she needed to look for something#and it was on my shelf just two levels down from her eye level from where she sat😅

I got a response from my doctor about a test I did last month and you can tell that I got a response and might be a bit stressed because I'm being productive
#every time I get stressful news from a doctor or whatever I start cleaning more; usually the bathroom vanity#but today I've hung up the hooks for a wall shelf; combed and braided my hair; did my laundry; and made lunch#and I'm thinking of washing some stuffed animals as well#might do that later; like this evening or something
