“It’s a simple song. It largely revolves around this one riff. We played it round a couple of times, and some of these other French guys in the studio who knew Tony played along and were either helping out on bass or percussion. We kinda had it there. The moment that that had happened we were getting on like a house on fire after that. The room changed.”
- Yannis talking about "Walk Through Fire" for Dork magazine | 17.04.2024
Do you think I would just sit here quiet and wait? I have better definitions for love. I'll make my way through the fire, if that's what's needed to reach you...
OCs ask game 12, 13, 34 and 8 for Finan and Lucinda ;)
12. What would they say each other’s worst quality is?
Lucinda would say that Finan’s ‘undeserving complex’ is his worst quality. We all know Finan can be a clown about his feelings, and she’d wish he would just believe her when she tells him she loves him and he’s enough for her.
Finan would say Lucinda’s stubbornness. She won’t back down from a fight and although he loves that about her, it does lead to problems. Plus if she hadn’t been too stubborn to admit she was wrong about him when she first arrived, maybe they would have gotten together earlier.
13. What would they say each other’s best quality is?
Lucinda would say Finan’s loyalty. She knows he would never leave her and he will stand by her no matter what - and after her previous bad experiences with men that matters.
Finan would say Lucinda’s mind. She’s really intelligent and thinks fast, which he loves, whether it’s thinking up battle plans or a quick come back to his banter.
34. Who is more stubborn?
As already mentioned, Lucinda. Although Finan can be very stubborn too.
8. Who does what chores, and why?
Lucinda cooks - we all know Finan is not a great cook, having grown up a prince with servants.
Finan would do the cleaning but Lucinda would moan he hadn’t done it properly and end up doing it again, especially if guests were coming around.
Finan spends a lot of time helping the kids, getting them ready for school, picking them up and giving them lifts, keeping them occupied. He says it’s so Lucinda can have a rest but really he just wants an excuse to be with the kids.
On 18th April 2024 75 CRT Televisions were taken to London. People on the street were given a cassette player loaded with the song you’re hearing right now. They were given the chance to create their own Music Video, moving their eyes between the screens to create their own edit. Whilst listening along with young Tony and young Yannis, people were able to watch themselves in a create feedback loop - completing the triangle of collaboration between Tony, Yannis and themselves. The same is true whenever they listen to the song, or watch the music video, like you, right now.

It was 5 years ago: Yola's Dan Auerbach–produced debut album, Walk Through Fire, was released on Easy Eye Sound / Nonesuch Records. The Grammy-nominated album puts a contemporary twist on a traditional sonic tapestry of orchestral strings, fiddle, steel, and shimmering tremolo guitars. Yola's arresting vocals captivate with sincere tales of heartache and loves lost, forgotten, and broken. You can hear it and get it on vinyl here.
