"what  is  this?"  her  gaze  falls  upon  the  paper  resting  on  the  desk  and  she  can  hardly  believe  her  eyes,  confronted  by  the  cruelty  inflicted  by  someone  she  has  loved  for  so  long.  "if  there's  only  one  person  left  who  should  have  my  back  through  all  of  this,  it  should  be  you."  she  had  always  been  aware  of  how  much  his  business  meant  to  him  from  the  very  start,  but  she  never  imagined  that  between  the  empire  he  had  constructed  and  their  relationship,  this  would  be  the  choice  he  would  make.  she  never  thought  she’d  have  to  find  out.  it’s  ludicrous  enough  that  her  career  is  suffering  because  of  faults  she’s  not  directly  involved  in  but  merely  by  association  with  someone  now  scrutinised,  but  it  is  even  more  bewildering  that  her  longtime  partner  is  taking  a  stance  that  is  not  hers.  / @vvhimsicals

“Oh, hey.” Solomon’s voice is tinged with both confusion and sleep. It’s not unusual for him to stay up late and work and it’s just as common for him to wake up on the couch because he’s fallen asleep mid-reading some document or another. As would have been the case tomorrow if the sudden ring to his doorbell didn’t startle him awake. “What are you doing here? It’s uh, it’s pretty late.”

"you sure? i could always come back tomorrow, i know it's pretty late." samuel said with a chuckle and a small raise of his eyebrow. it wasn't until she ushered him in that he gave in and followed her inside. her place looked different than the last time that he was there, then again that was years ago. the two of them had changed so much since they last saw one another and hoped that they could at least catch up for a bit. "if i knew you were still here i would have invited you out... i mean i'm here the whole week if you want to do something without me barging in here." he teased with a chuckle. "the place looks really good. you look good, too." a small shade of red came over his cheeks and he realized that no one had made him blush like this in a bit. even though he ran around with models and movie stars, he knew it was all just to please his manager. it wasn't anything real, not like when it was with the two of them. "so how have you been?"

ethan had no idea what he was going to do outside of the military. all he knew is that he was ready to get out and he wanted to see what other opportunities were out there. he assumed he could put his flying skills to good use though since he spent so long doing it. it was his first day outside of training and he decided to start out as a flight attendant, this running into imani who seemed so willing to help him in any way she could. "you this helpful to all the new guys or am i just lucky?" he joked, his eyes glancing over at her as he shifted to make some more coffee for the passengers. "either way, i have to say, you've made this whole first day at a new job as smooth as butter. thank you for that."

as  heejin's  consciousness  returns  amidst  the  throbbing  headache  and  the  harsh,  fluorescent  light,  her  attention  is  immediately  drawn  to  the  comforting  warmth  of  his  hand  against  her  cool  skin.  disoriented  and  fatigued,  she  squints  her  eyes  until  they  gradually  come  into  focus.  "hyun?"  despite  the  tumultuous  events  that  have  unfolded  between  them,  there  is  still  a  part  of  her  that  feels  a  sense  of  security  in  his  presence,  enough  to  resist  withdrawing  her  hand.  her  throat  feels  as  dry  as  sandpaper  and  she  almost  chokes  when  she  attempts  to  speak  again.  "where...  what  happened?"  the  acrid  scent  of  chemicals  and  the  rhythmic  beeping  of  machines  inform  her  dazzled  mind  that  she  is  in  a  hospital,  yet  the  precise  details  of  how  she  ended  up  there  elude  her. / @vvhimsicals

wealthy, that was an understatement when it came to his family, they owned more luxury shit than he could count and on top of his own money he made with soccer it was outrageous the amount of funds he had access to. of course, money came with upsides and downsides but one of the downsides was his fathers' incessant need to only care about him if he was doing something 'bad' or hooking up with someone he deemed beneath them. that's why he had ended up at this big fancy party having a ton of different women being introduced to him to try and enhance their riches instead of lowering their status. he had managed to slip away when he saw them, the one who actually held his true affections. grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her into the nearest empty room. "okay, i know you're working and all... but i'm about to go insane out there. think you can spare five minutes? or maybe play hooky and ditch with me?"
