gonna message a breeder this weekend about maybe getting a puppy 😭

#this hinges on 1. if the breeder can board him for me until september (a Big if)#and 2. my housemates are okay with me doing a 180 on my previous dog plans (a BIGGER if)#(prev dog plans were a vulpine spitz (15-20lbs) or a chi some time in 2024 #(this would be a puppy for a Big mix in a month and a half 🙈)#(hes borzoi malamute and irish wolfhound which sounds. insane but. just trust me ><)

Pip how many dogs do you co-own?? Is co-owning usually a breeding thing or are there other reasons? Do you have schemes for them all or are you sometimes just like I want more dogs just in case

Hahaha! Um four. It's different with all of them!

Anzu I originally co-owned bc I thought I might want to use him as a stud for a litter of pet dogs someday. His temperament turned out not to be suitable for that, but I still help cover some costs/support Kuzu with training stuff w him and he is my little stepson

Mari I co-own with Cyril and Devon and it essentially just means I help cover testing and other expenses if needed and that Cyril and I will board her when Devon is out of town. If she is suitable for breeding when she is an adult, I will get to pick 1 stud for one of her litters also

Pixie I've been covering testing costs for her. If she's suitable for breeding I will get to weigh in on stud choices.

Bao I organized talking to her breeder and having her evaluated by a service dog trainer, and again will be helping pay for her testing when she's old enough, & will have a say in what studs are used if she is ever bred.
