Today, I want to share with you the story of my very first car - the iconic 2CV. Did you know that this beauty has a history dating back to the 1930s, when the French government commissioned a car that could carry four people and 50 kilograms of farm goods? And so, the 2CV was born, with its simple, rugged design and reliable mechanics. 🇫🇷 But this car is so much more than just a utilitarian vehicle. It's a symbol of freedom, of exploration, of joie de vivre. With its soft suspension and quirky looks, the 2CV has inspired generations of drivers to embrace their adventurous spirit and hit the open road. And for me, getting behind the wheel of my 2CV was a life-changing experience. Suddenly, I was part of a community of drivers who shared my love for this unique and lovable car. We'd wave to each other on the road, swap tips on maintenance and repairs, and share stories of our adventures. Er staan schitterende nummers op deze dubbel-LP: Van Julien Clerc (nummer 1 in juni 1976), van Jacques Dutronc, van Joe Dassin, van Nicolas Peyrac, van Mort Shuman (nummer 1 in april 1973), van Charles Aznavour, van Claude Michel Schönberg, van Jeane Manson (een ex-Playmate 😋 ) , van Danyel Gérard (nummer 2 in maart 1971) en Pierre Rapsat. En gewoon leuke nummers: Van Michel Delpech (wie kent het niet, nummer 3 in september 1971), Catherine Ferry (nummer 2 Eurovisie Songfestival 1976), de Nederlander Dave met een Franse versie van Moonlight Serenade, (nummer 1 in november 1975), Alain Barriere (liedje ook bekend als If You Go van Barry & Eileen, die er een nummer 1 in mee hadden in juni 1975), C. Jérome en Stone et Eric Charden. En een evergreen natuurlijk: La Ballade des Gens Heureux 🙇 Vicky Leandros won met Apres Toi het Eurovisie Songfestival (voor Luxemburg) en haalde in Nederland de nummer 1 in mei 1972. C'est Ma Vie van Adamo en het prachtige La Montagne van Jean Ferret is al net zo onsterfelijk gemaakt door Wim Sonneveld als Het Dorp.
