- to keep in theme with jasper and victoria’s love for gothic and horror they named their son wesley after iconic horror director wes craven. it seemed on par with their son because he just loves making people scream. wesley and his twin cthulhu came to be with the aid of the dark arts. their mother was having trouble convincing so with a little bit of black magic the twins came to be. he was half skeleton monster which means while he could do all that his dad did it came with a price because of his human side. his body wasn’t fully made to withstand all that was needed so wesley could pop parts off but it left marks on his body - unlike his father. as for a full skeletal transformation? wesley attempted it once and the pain was too excruciating he had to stop. ironically, he was left with a broken arm.

- wes was gifted the same brilliant mind his father had. he was a certified genius except he didn’t use his intelligence to its full potential. jasper had always sought out something more in life but wes was just content with where he was. he didn’t want to be grand or special, he was fine with slacking off and not giving people expectations. he didn’t want to live up to the skellington name which he was well aware was powerful in hallow falls. it was once besmirched but his father had fixed his reputation, leaving citizens to continue to grovel at their feet for forgiveness. he was the only son in a sea of girls and while jasper didn’t want to pressure his son he also wishes wes would see his potential.

- he graduated the top of his class but never applied himself to do extracurricular activities or anything. wes had the grades but he let everything else slip. he would much rather be at the skatepark or smoking weed rather than doing bake sales or whatever the golden kids did. for lack of a better word he was fine with being a loser rather than being popular.

- currently wes works at the comic shop in elias. if he’s not causing mayhem with the teague triplets, or annoying his sisters, he’s with his boyfriend, harry, minding his business, keeping his side of the street clean !!

- personality wise – absolute fucking menace. very sarcastic and never takes anything seriously. he’s a little crude sometimes. is also known to be moody, chaotic and destructive. he has his moments of intelligence and being the voice of reason but it’s far and few. he plays dumb a good chunk of the time and finds it amusing when people realize that he has more than one brain cell. despite all the annoyance, he’s very loving, loyal and funny.

Similarities between two of my favourite female characters, a thread:

They're are stunning, shockingly beautiful, bold, brave, kind and tough after all they've been through

They both share a dark and troubled past with a man that had no good intentions with them to beggin with

AU Thursday: Somebody I Used To Know -- Four-Player Wonderland Thoughts

Hey, you guys remember that AU I came up with that was based on an RP prompt from ages ago that got Victor into American McGee’s Alice so we could have fun with Victor being in the original game?

And then it morphed into a poly AU with Victoria and Emily joining in on the Alice: Madness Returns side of things?

Well I still love it, and it’s been on my mind lately, so have a few new thoughts concerning it!

-->Came up with designs for Victoria and Emily’s Classic Wonderland dresses! Here’s my current ideas on how they should look:

Victoria: Skirt falls a little lower than Alice's (probably closer to her ankles); striped in alternating light and dark blue; ruffles around the ends of the sleeves and the hem of the skirt; black ankle-high boots; apron has what looks like food stains on it (as my Victoria knows how to cook)

Emily: Skirt ankle length like Victoria's; a much lighter blue than Alice's; sleeves are gauzy "net" material, like her wedding dress had before she was killed; tear in the skirt revealing part of her leg; black pumps; apron has holes and looks generally like it was left to rot

I feel like this keeps both the proper “Wonderland” design while also keeping true to their clothing in the movie. Other outfits would have similar variations (Emily’s Deluded Depths outfit maybe looking like the bodice of her wedding gown with a shorter skirt, Victoria’s Dollhouse dress resembling that quilt we see her working on).

-->Still coming up with weapon designs for each of them. Here’s the two I’ve got so far for each:

Victoria:

A fireplace poker (Vorpal Poker?), taken from the Duchess’s Vale Kitchen when the group encounters her

A sewing-needle sword -- would be most appropriate to pick up in the Dollhouse, but it feels like that’s awfully late to get a new weapon... Hmm.

Emily:

A soup bone, also taken from the Duchess’s Kitchen (deciding if it should be a general club or maybe broken off to a stabby point)

A rose-thorn whip, maybe picked up in the Vale of Doom

I'd like both of them to have a standard A:MR four piece set in the end. . .Emily could use something a little more bridal, perhaps? And what else for Victoria. . .have to ponder.

--> Me: *trying to come up with new weapon ideas for the girls* Oh, you know what would be fun? If Emily had a keytar weapon! Like it shoots musical notes or blasts enemies with sound or something. *looks them up for fun* Yeah, that’s the ticket. Too bad they’re so modern --

Wikipedia: Hey there’s this thing called an orphica that’s basically the late 18th century keytar

Me: WHAT

So yeah, that DEFINITELY has to be a thing. :D But a thing for who? While I was coming up with ideas for Emily, it occurs to me that this would be a great weapon for Victor as well. They’re both pianists, after all. And I can picture either of them using it.

Fortunately, this dilemma has an easy solution -- weapon-sharing! I’d already pictured Victor using Alice’s weapons in the AMA side of things; I don’t see why the same couldn’t be true of the four of them in A:MR. Perhaps everybody has one “bonded” weapon that only they can use (I’m thinking like Alice’s Vorpal Blade, since that’s the one that shows up between both games and is basically considered the most iconic), but all the rest are kind of in a communal pot. Maybe not everybody can use every weapon (like Alice and Victoria, not being as musical, don’t use the orphica (the Awful Orphica?), while Victor doesn’t use the sewing-needle sword because he can’t sew), but they’re available for anybody who can.

Nice thing is, thanks to that, I already have two forms ready for the Awful Orphica for upgrading purposes -- an Everglot Harryhausen version (slick and black, with the nameplate on it somewhere), and a converted Ball & Socket coffin version (pink and yellow, with crooked keys).
