when He left, He knew the paths the world could take. admittedly - the one where gabriel brought about the apocalypse and michael stood against him was not the one He actually expected to happen.

speaking of the amphorae, though, they’re actually scattered throughout the cradle

lucifer is not and has not been a safe topic to bring to Him since the moment He ordered his death

the only being from adam’s creation that could safely access and use even a fraction of His Divinity is lucifer. any other angel would burn up at the attempt. but even lucifer will be burned if he tries to go too deep into it

five of the amphorae were made with archangel feathers and they are unaffected by that particular amphora:

darkness: arushiel/lucifer

flood: michael

fire: gabriel

blood: raphael

drought and famine: uriel

instead of sending michael to kill the humans on his behalf, He almost released the flood amphora. instead, remembering michael’s failure to end his eldest brother completely, he sent his son to do it himself.

he didn’t give the higher or lower angels their names, he let the archangels name them as they would. in the end, many lower angels (that weren’t like lyrae, higher angels stripped of their rank and body) ended up with no names

because there is no hell, all souls end up in heaven. they’re stored in little pots that are decorated with their accomplishments - both good and bad. He isn’t entirely certain what they experience there.

each of the amphorae were made individually, with their own designs and glazes so as to be easily recognizable. they were made in the dark days shortly after the lower angels when his rage was still bright and hot and all consuming.

they are absolute works of art but are also the most destructive and deadly as even his archangels are effected by the contents within.

He spent the majority of the time before canon outside of His universe, traveling other deities’ worlds and keeping a loose eye on his own world. about a year/6 months before the events of season one, He comes back to the world and inflitrates vega, taking up a job as a gardener in one of the agriculture units and making people believe he’d been there the entire time.

after the events of season one he leaves vega again, this time to begin work on new pockets of creation that have the potential of one day being a second paradise for the surviving humans, though currently only those he allows can find them

some world building because @ofdivinegrace and i were talking about it:

He is God, but He is also Adam - as in the garden of eden, first man Adam. He told only His eldest arushiel the angel that would be lucifer that he would be in the garden, telling the other archangels that it was an attempt to see how well the prince’s leadership skills had developed. what He didn’t tell any was that he was divorcing Himself of His divinity, creating what would later be known as the tree of knowledge to hold it. all his prince knew was that suddenly His divinity was gone.

Eve at the fruit and it granted her knowledge of who her husband was meant to be and immortality. Adam ate the fruit and had his divinity flood back into him and in a rage, ordered the younger archangels to strike down their brother.

He adores His children, but He also doesn’t know how NOT to use them as tools for His vision. because that’s what he made almost all of them for in the first place - with the exception of the angel that would one day become lucifer, the son of morning. that angel was made as a companion. a co-creator. but still He needed to be the one in control, dictating every move made.

the lower angels/8-balls were created after arushiel was killed and his name wiped from existence. He’d been working on new angels, lost his temper, and shattered the set sculptures that would have been the angels. instead of sweeping them away, he fired the pieces anyway.

it left them as bodiless spirits of destruction

there are reasons that the other archangels were sent not to subdue lucifer but kill him and reasons why He didn’t do it himself beyond the love He had for His first born

the soul pots get made by Him. compared to sculpting the archangels and eve, it’s a simple process
