Hey, everyone! Today we are talking about iodine. . . Iodine is so important for us mainly because it helps our thyroid function properly. A deficiency in iodine can lead to hypothyroidism. This can cause some major issues if left unchecked for a long time. . . Also, I forgot to mention in the video that iodine deficiency is associated with an increased risk of thyroid cancer as well. Hey, everyone! . . Tea is one of the most common beverages in the world and it started out as a medication actually! There have been many benefits attributed to tea (especially green tea) but are any of them true? Let's look at brain health. . . The study that I am quoting today is a review from 2018 that looked at all of the data to that point. They concluded that based on the evidence there is some benefit to drinking green tea for brain health. . . Now what does that mean? Does that mean you will gain superpowers if you drink tea? No. . . What it does mean is that when you drink green tea regularly you can decrease your risk of cognitive decline. Does this mean that you shouldn't take any other measures?
