Yknow fair point. UHHH Sazanami class, Nagato class, Yamato class, Kongou class, Graf, Iowa Saratoga and Intrepid? that may be a lot though.. I miss the grils als gamecushio is ushio I assume but what!?
Tumblr media
gamecushio!!!!!!!!!!
anyway sazanami isnt a class of ships. but if you mean the 4 destroyers drawn by this artist (sazanami, oboro, akebono, and ushio) i think its kind of funny how they were like, the first ships to get alternate art at Kai instead of having to wait til kai ni, and ive always suspected it was bc their original art was just so. not great. their kai art is a huge glow-up! ushio of course did NOT get this treatment, ebcause she was always perfect from day one. she is my favorite of the four. obviously.
the nagato class is my moms <3 ever since the anime aired theyve just been the lesbian couple i wish raised me.
yamato class i went in hating musashi bc i thought her design was like. needlessly horny. but then i noticed!!!! that she!!!! has a little pair of glasses!!!!!! and i kind of fell in love with her. so she is very good. i really liked her kai ni when it came out, and i used it a lot even though she was Fucking Expensive to run.
kongou class my only thoughts are. that comic where they smash cake on kongous face and they all lick it off. they are like bizarre insects to me. tghey are like girls with something wrong with them to me. they lured two of them into a trap with kongou nudes in the anime. #girl
graf is like. german. shes got a neat design but shes a lil gloomy.
IOWA USA BABEY i LOVE that dumb bitch shes the best thing the state of iowa ever gave us.
saratoga is cute!! shes really fucking versatile tho and im prety sure i had like, two copies of her? one for her night plane capability and the other for her armoured carrier capability? its been a while. good girl
INTREPID tho. my favorite usa ship. shes just really cute. i love her a lot. i used her a lot. i think her plane distribution was fucked? i dont remember but i liked using her even if it was not super recommended <3

• Battle of the Java Sea
The Battle of the Java Sea, was a decisive naval battle of the Pacific campaign of World War II. Allied navies suffered a disastrous defeat at the hand of the Imperial Japanese Navy, on February 27th, 1942, and in secondary actions over successive days.
The Japanese invasion of the Dutch East Indies progressed at a rapid pace as they advanced from their Palau Islands colony and captured bases in Sarawak and the southern Philippines. They seized bases in eastern Borneo and in northern Celebes while troop convoys, screened by destroyers and cruisers with air support provided by swarms of fighters operating from captured bases, steamed southward through the Makassar Strait and into the Molucca Sea. To oppose these invading forces was a small force, consisting of Dutch, American, British and Australian warships, many of them of World War I vintage, initially under the command of Admiral Thomas C. Hart.
On January 23rd, 1942, a force of four American destroyers attacked a Japanese invasion convoy in Makassar Strait as it approached Balikpapan in Borneo. The Japanese amphibious forces gathered to strike at Java, and on February 27th, 1942, the main Allied naval force, under Doorman, sailed northeast from Surabaya to intercept a convoy of the Eastern Invasion Force approaching from the Makassar Strait. The Eastern Strike Force, as it was known, consisted of two heavy cruisers (HMS Exeter and USS Houston), three light cruisers (Doorman's flagship HNLMS De Ruyter, HNLMS Java, HMAS Perth), and nine destroyers (HMS Electra, HMS Encounter, HMS Jupiter, HNLMS Kortenaer, HNLMS Witte de With, USS Alden, USS John D. Edwards, USS John D. Ford, and USS Paul Jones).
The Japanese task force protecting the convoy, commanded by Rear-Admiral Takeo Takagi, consisted of two heavy (Nachi and Haguro) and two light cruisers (Naka and Jintsū) and 14 destroyers (Yūdachi, Samidare, Murasame, Harusame, Minegumo, Asagumo, Yukikaze, Tokitsukaze, Amatsukaze, Hatsukaze, Yamakaze, Kawakaze, Sazanami, and Ushio). The Japanese heavy cruisers were much more powerful, armed with ten 8-inch (203 mm) guns each, and superb torpedoes.
The Allied force engaged the Japanese in the Java Sea, and the battle raged intermittently from mid-afternoon to midnight as the Allies tried to reach and attack the troop transports of the Java invasion fleet, but they were repulsed by superior firepower. The Allies had local air superiority during the daylight hours, because Japanese air power could not reach the fleet in the bad weather. The weather also hindered communications, making cooperation between the many Allied parties involved in reconnaissance, air cover and fleet headquarters even worse than it already was. The battle consisted of a series of attempts over a seven-hour period by Doorman's Combined Striking Force to reach and attack the invasion convoy; each was rebuffed by the escort force with heavy losses being inflicted on the Allies.
Suffering heavy loses over the course of the battle, the Allied fleet could not defeat the superior firepower of the Japanese force. Although the Allied fleet did not reach the invasion fleet, the battle did give the defenders of Java a one-day respite. Following the battle, several more naval engagements would occur in the Dutch East Indies. The U.S. and Royal Air Force retreated to Australia. Dutch troops, aided by British remnants, fought fiercely for a week. In the campaign the Japanese executed many Allied POWs and sympathizing Indonesians. Eventually, the Japanese won this decisive battle of attrition and ABDA forces surrendered on March 9th.

Going to wait out the event for like half of it’s duration. You know, so I don’t go through trial and error of fleet comps while blowing away all my resources/buckets. Can’t really afford to just throw away resources with how low they are. Still going to do easy mode.
I’m really screwed on potential historical fleet routing- as none of these ships are probably any higher than Lv.30. Especially not even fully modernized.
Fifth Fleet consists of:
21st Battle Squadron: Nachi, Tama, Kiso, Ashigara
1st Torpedo Squadron: Abukuma, Hatsushimo, Kasumi, Ushio, Akebono, Hatsuharu, Wakaba, Shiranui, Usugumo (Fubuki Class - Not Implemented yet)
31st Battle Squadron: Kaya (Matsu Class) [Not implemented yet]
^^pulled from comments section of the event page provided by Shinwhalee^^
Only maybe 4 of those girls are probably usable in a fleet. I haven’t really been leveling destroyers- Poi being the exception as the grind to Lv.99 is long.
I think I have a decent spread of ships ready, unless you need a special type- like Akitsumaru. Because of last event I even have all my SS at around Lv.50 and modernized.
Poi K2, Shigure K2, Verniy being my go-to destroyers, with Fubuki K2, Kisaragi Kai , and Mutsuki Kai for back-ups.
Sendai Class is all at Lv.60 with near max modernization all in their final remodels for light cruisers. KTKM and Ooi are a Lv.55 if I want a CLT out there- near max modernized as well.
Maya and Choukai in their first remodels- nearing their final remodels- with maxed out modernization. Kako and Furutaka in their first remodels as backup. Suzuya and Kumano available if CAV is needed for some reason.
Ryuujou Kai being my top CVL, unfortunately the only high level CVL.
Kongou class is at a decent level if we need FBB- don’t usually need BB but Mutsu is at a decent level, but still leveling up Nagato. Ise/Hyuuga are available, but can’t remember the last time I needed a Aviation Battleship for anything All the regular carriers are at a decent level. Akagi/Kaga/Zuikaku/Shoukaku all available.
Chiyoda/Chitose A variant are only at Lv.31 and Commandant Teste at Lv.28.
Aaaaand poor Akitsumaru who is only Lv.7

Gawd!  Why can’t I stop myself from buying KanColle Nendoroids!?!  ~w~!!!!!!!  I don’t have the budget for this!  I should be saving money for Yuri on Ice Nendos, Homura Nendos, and Haikyuu Nendos!  And what if some new series/characters get announced at WonFes2017Winter, that give me a heart-attacks as soon as I see them?  I won’t be able to continue without collecting those.  But how can I collect them if all my money goes to KanColle—which I’m not even obsessed with!  ~O~  Why do I feel compelled to buy the entire Akizuki class?!  What was so cute about Akizuki that I had to get her?!  Because now, as a completionist, I have to get all her sisters too.  Thank goodness she only has 2 sisters in KanColle (so far).  If this were Shiro Hime Quest character designs or Touken Ranbu character designs, I could give myself a pass.  But how many pseudo-miko and modified schoolgirl uniform’ed characters do I need?!  I know I don’t want to repeat my mistakes of refraining from pre-ordering the Kongou class, then ending up hunting them down at the inflated after-market/-release prices, but still…Why am I collecting the entire Akizuki class?  Sure, those Choujuusenchihou-chan are cute and every Akizuki class destroyer comes with their own pair, but…I really should be saving my money for other Nendoroids.  ~______________~;
And did I really have to shell-out for that Ushio Nendoroid?  I know I need more gakuran and I like “Ushio & Tora”, but at that over-inflated price…Was that really worth it?
