Tense moments at the coffee shop when i out of habit asked for an English breakfast tea only for the barista to repeat "so a breakfast tea..." 😅
#id just come in from the cold and looked semi feral plus my accent is so clearly non uk#he was good natured about it thankfully#whereas my turkish friend at work- he did his phd in scotland and when he was new#he apparently once asked for an English breakfast at a pub#and was flatly told 'we don't serve that here'#until he revised his request to a scottish breakfast hshshsh
