Sonny with a chance is truly the most underrated ive ever seen. And thats on its creative and unique premise, writing, set, acting, characterization, and series plot progression !
#underrated gets thrown around a lot but i truly mean and believe it abt swac#just finished binging it on disney plus and just like i thought before i started - its as good as i remember. even better tbh!#its criminal this show doesnt get the recognition it deserves#and honestly even tho i loved channy as a kid and after prematurely seeing comments reminding me channy broke up at the end#i fully support the writers decision to break them up at the end of s2#after seeing ppl say that new girl left clumsy loose ends abt their relationship i see why closure abt them#would still be great and sure yeah i agree but having even left it as it is makes their relationship - whatever that may look like -#beautiful. they were a toxic couple in retrospect and obviously as a kid i didnt realize that so i kept rooting fot them#i even forgot they made up/broke up/fought several times!!!#their breakup was needed on both ends and the pining they still lowkey have for each other and the civility they maintain after is i think#a very realistic and well paced writing on the shows part and im glad they didnt fluff it and bring them back at the end for fanfare#it wouldve been exhausting and annoying to watch to see sonny let him roll over like that a THIRD time esp with what he did to her#and her friends!!! all this to say the way they ended the way they did w s2 even if s3 was hypothetically never planned is beautifu#swac
