another post to add to the other one because i dont want to make a donation post too wordy.

- zumi is having a very rasputinian february with having two surgeries, popped stitches, some neurological damage requiring medicine etc., she is at the vet a lot but is in good fighting spirits. i hate to see her life full of energy and vigour and Rat Magic be lost to a paywall.

- my job 'fucking me over' is a long story but theyre being very shady around there and i suspect its due to transphobia. i have a lead on another, lower-paying job but it'll be a while until a paycheck comes if it does.

- me and my partner are being hit hard emotionally by zumi's condition and the indifference of everybody on our end, social services, my work's HR etc. driving her out of town to an exotic vet in the scorching heat, and waking up at night to check her stitches/feed her has just become a daily routine for us. trying to juggle that as our lives crumble under covid is really taking a lot out of us.

- every dollar literally counts because the exchange rate between new zealand and most other currencies is so good.

- it actually feels like the worst posting this and asking fellow broke young tumblr gays for money when i know we arent exactly the richest demographic. it's hard to justify doing this and it also feels hopeless with how many donation posts are going around and how little money we probably all have between us.

- i wish i could be cool and just post a selfie and a venmo link but we dont even have that in new zealand

- i might start adding a kofi link to all my gifs from now on sorry if its cringe :(
